Aegis of Issaquah
780 Northwest Juniper Street Issaquah WA 98027
for a local A Place for Mom advisor
With the seven different cottages we are able to match folks up on a better social and cognitive level. This helps us better customize activities and social interaction that is imperative to the success of our residents. Each cottage has 14 residents, allowing the feeling of home and comfort without being overwhelming to our residents. Within each cottage there is a common family room with couches, flat screen tv, ceiling high windows, and a library. Also each cottage has their own private dining room with cloth napkins, table cloth, flower centerpiece, and huge windows for watching outdoor scenery, this makes the dining experience top notch.
Activities consist of single cottage activities as well as total campus activities as an option to our residents and their levels of comfort. We have activities such as gardening, floral arranging, bingo, cookie baking, singing, daily exercise classes, trips out to lunch, scenic drives, happy hour with live entertainment each Friday at 3pm, and even a resident dog we make biscuits and play fetch with.
We now have seven day a week nursing, and have just announced a new resident doctor who is seeing patients every Friday. House calls definitely benefit our residents and keep it low stress for them so they do not have to travel to see a physician which we know can be very exhausting for the elderly. This property is a must see...
