Bethesda Rehab and Senior Care greets seniors with lively greenery surrounding the homey residential neighborhood about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. The community offers short- and long-term rehab, respite stays, adult day care, and memory care. They are also Medicare and Medicaid certified, and accept VA Aid and Assistance benefits.

The faith-based nonprofit has been helping seniors feel comfortable and secure for over 100 years, with the most recent renovation in 2015. From minimal help to round-the-clock care by skilled nurses, every senior's needs are met while maintaining a level of independence. A specialized memory care team looks after seniors with Alzheimerā€™s disease and other types of dementia with personalized care plans.

Seniors will feel at home with the home-cooked meals made throughout the day. Enjoy visiting your loved one on a nice sunny day in the shaded gazebo. Take a stroll on a local trail along the river less than 15 minutes from the community. A garden terrace and patio is open for residents to enjoy fresh air in a safe environment. Your loved one can continue to make it to church from the comfort of their home through the weekly religious services and spiritual/pastoral care. Feel safe knowing your loved ones needs come first at Bethesda Rehab and Senior Care.

  • Highly recommend

We chose this facility because of the location, availability, ad we also liked their security. My mom was in memory care and they were all on one floor and there was a very good staff to patient ratio. I think they were very good with communication and they sent out newsletters to keep us updated. They were very accommodating with having families visit their loved ones. They tried to cater to everybody personally as far as the meals go and figure out what they liked so that they would eat. I would definitely recommend.

  • Do not give water to patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother was scheduled for a family visit during Covid-19. While we were waiting, they found her unresponsive and needed to call 911. She was rushed by ambulance to nearest hospital. She was found to have been severely hydrated and had high sodium levels with a UTI. They do not even care to make sure dementia patients are given basic need of water. Very upset and would love to not give the caretakers water where they become unresponsive and almost die.

  • Quality Facility that Cares!

My father was at Bethesda for a few months this year. He was comfortable and happy. Bethesda is clean, inviting, and a quality facility. The employees care about their jobs and the residents. Our family felt extremely comfortable visiting him and we knew that he was well taken care of when we were not around. THANK YOU BETHESDA STAFF!!
