Our Community

Constructed in 2014, the grounds of Generations at Agritopia are intended to be as inviting as they are safe and secure. Residents and visitors will find many welcoming spaces to socialize with friends and family or enjoy their moments of solitude. Outside you'll find a lovely patio garden, accessible to all residents, and a nice place to sit and chat. If you'd prefer to stay indoors, we have no shortage of options to suit your mood. Have a seat in our TV lounge and catch the game or your favorite show, browse the internet in our computer room, socialize over a game of pool in our billiards lounge, or kick back in our movie room and enjoy the show.

Living Arrangements

A variety of living options are offered at our community to best suit the preferences and budgets of all prospective residents. Studio units are available, as well as 1- and 2-bedroom suites, ideal for couples or those who wish to live with a roommate. Accessible units are offered as well, including wheelchair-friendly features and ground floor options. Living quarters are air conditioned with temperatures regulated for comfort and safety, and some units include kitchenettes so residents can prepare their own meals. Free parking is offered to residents, and dogs and cats are allowed in private quarters so feel free to bring your furry friends!

Activities

Generations at Agritopia offers a roster of specially curated on-site activities to stimulate both body and mind. We offer an exercise program, including low-impact options such as stretching classes and chair yoga a type of yoga practiced in a seating position and geared towards individuals with physical limitations. Our healthy living program ensures residents are able to maintain their cognitive, dietary, and physical health. We offer educational lectures, gardening and art classes to stimulate creativity, and our communal space has a piano for the musically-inclined. We provide regular musical entertainment for our residents as well. There's also plenty of time to have fun, with holiday parties, trivia nights, and senior proms€ being especially popular. Not all our activities take place on-site though residents are offered regular opportunities for day trips into town to local sights and events.

Dining

Our staff includes a professional chef, regularly preparing meals for residents throughout the day, so there's no need to worry about groceries. Have a seat in our restaurant-style dining space and socialize with friends, or choose a private space for special occasions or dinner with visiting friends or family. Dietary needs are met with multiple options, including vegetarian fares and low/no sodium requirements.

Personal Services

One of the major conveniences of assisted living communities is that you no longer have to worry about chores - housekeeping services are covered by our staff. Our on-site beauty salon and barbershop allows you to pamper yourself without having to set foot outside the community, but when a trip to town is in order, we provide residents with transportation services if needed. Select religious services are offered at the community for residents' convenience, and the surrounding neighborhoods are home to many houses of worship as well.

Medical Care

You can feel safe at our community knowing that trained staff members are present 24 hours a day to assist you with any time-sensitive needs that may arise. Generations at Agritopia coordinates care services with registered nurses, as well as visiting podiatrists, dentists, and occupational therapists to make sure residents are healthy and mobile, and can maintain the skills needed for daily living. Staff members are able to aid residents with insulin monitoring and can provide incontinence care as needed. We offer on-site hospice care, as well as respite care a short-term stay at a senior living community perfect for recovery from a hospital visit, the interim during a caregiver's extended vacation, or simply as an opportunity to experience a senior living trial period.

Memory Care

Generations at Agritopia is equipped to care for individuals with Alzheimer's or disorientation issues and ensure they receive the needed support. In order to deter wandering behaviors, our community employs a locked and secured perimeter to provide for residents' safety. Our staff members are specially trained to de-escalate behavioral episodes and are equipped to handle any related occurrences.

The Surrounding Neighborhood

Nestled in the shadow of the Tonto National Forest, the fifth largest national forest in the United States and a pristine example of southwestern desert beauty, Gilbert is a suburb of the Phoenix metropolitan area and offers an opportunity to enjoy big city convenience from afar. Gilbert enjoys wonderful weather year-round, with about 300 days of sun and temperatures that rarely drop below 50 degrees. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to offer, with the region being especially popular with golfers. The area also has beautiful public parks to take a relaxing stroll in or to simply sit in the shade and read. The hustle and bustle of Phoenix is always easily accessible for a change of pace, with plenty of options for cultural activities and day trips, as well as restaurants and casinos. Living outside a large metropolitan area also provides convenient access to the region's many world-class medical facilities, as well as Sky Harbor International Airport, allowing you to easily coordinate visits with friends and family.

Care Types Offered

Generations at Agritopia is licensed as an Assisted Living Center with Directed Care Services, and includes Memory Care certification. These terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Center

In the state of Arizona, an Assisted Living Center refers to a health care institution other than a hospital or a nursing care institution which provides resident beds or residential units, supervisory care services, personal care service, directed care services or health-related services for persons who do not need inpatient nursing care. This can include adult foster care, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services provided on a continuing basis. Directed Care Services

The term Directed Care Services refers to programs and services, including personal care services, provided to persons who are incapable of recognizing danger, summoning assistance, expressing need or making basic care decisions.

  • Our first Impression holds true - a home away from home.

Overall, my loved ones have had a lot of people reach out to them with friendship and to welcome them. They have enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. LivGenerations is understaffed, but everybody is right now. They haven't done a lot with activities due to Covid. But the ones they've had are great. There has been a little bit of lack of communication around details regarding medication distribution. I feel like I'm a little bit too involved in that. But overall, it's a really good value.
