Saddle Brook specializes in memory care designed to help reconnect loved ones to their cherished memories. Through unique services, the community aims to offer a purposeful retirement to residents experiencing memory loss.
Community Services and Amenities
Saddle Brook understands that memory loss is different for each individual, so the community personalizes services by listening and learning from each resident. Rather than focusing on what residents are unable to do, the care team focuses their energy on each resident’s current cognitive and sensory abilities. Using key techniques — gaze, speech, touch, and verticality — the staff aims to help residents properly engage their abilities. To connect each individual with their memories, residents are encouraged to connect with nature, express their faith, and feel purposeful. This philosophy is reflected within the community’s activities, including music therapy, art expression, personalized exercises, and more.
Each resident’s well-being takes priority, so the licensed nursing staff works around the clock to help ensure each need is met. The staff is happy to assist with daily living activities, medication, and other personal needs. Saddle Brook also does its best to make the community as familiar and comfortable as possible through interior design. The community features extra-wide hallways to prevent confusion, shadow boxes outside of each resident’s door displaying their personal story, and historical surprises scattered throughout to help stimulate memories.
When residents aren’t participating in lively activities, they are encouraged to take advantage of shared spaces. Residents can connect with one another by dining, strolling, or relaxing together. The beautiful, restaurant-style dining room serves three nutritious meals daily, which residents can choose to share with loved ones.
Additionally, residents can accompany one another in the living room, interior courtyard, garden beds, or the salon and spa.
Living Arrangements
Saddle Brook currently offers shared and private suites fully furnished with charming antiques and familiar decor. Each suite provides easy access to pull cords and call panels to help ensure resident safety. Additionally, the community is fully equipped with an advanced security system and window sensors to maximize security.
