It's a place for Alzheimer's/dementia, and sometimes I don't know if what my loved one tells me is accurate. Sometimes the things she says just don't jive with what I've observed. The food looks and smells good. The one thing I was able to try was wonderful. I don't hear any complaints from her about the food, and I know she wouldn't eat it and would definitely let me know about it if it wasn't good. They're getting a little more lenient with Covid easing up. You still wear your masks, but she can now go on outings with us. Because of Covid, I haven't seen much stuff on the inside. I've seen someone throwing a ball to the residents, but otherwise, I'm not sure what activities they're offering. I haven't really asked since I know they're limited due to Covid. To me, it's expensive, but it's clean. They wash her clothes several times a week, and she gets showered and her hair washed. Their intent is to keep the residents clean and happy. And they do a good job. Everybody seems to be really nice. The door is secured, so you have to ring the bell. Once you come in, they'll take your temperature, then have you sign in and answer symptom questions. Once you've been cleared, they're now able to let us be free to move around the house as we please. Before, we were confined to our loved one's room for visits. Now, if you have had your vaccine, you don't have to wear a mask inside. I like the way the inside is arranged, with males on one side and females on the other, and 16 rooms total. It's small and personal, and that's what I like about it. And it has a nice patio out back.

  • Serentiy Gardens Works Hard to Keep Their Residents Happy and Health

The atmosphere is positive at Serenity Garden. As small as the staff is they work hard. The room was great for our loved one. The food was good. I initially saw board games, and I didn't see them on return visits. The community did try to get the residents involved in different exercise

  • I don't know what I would have done without Serenity Gardens

This is a small community and the one on one attention was wonderful for my mom. This community felt like home, and the director was amazing. He even visited mom in the hospital. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.
