Community Amenities and Services
Our communal spaces will make you feel right at home. Check out a book from our library and read it poolside. Our outdoor pool is also heated, so the water will always be the right temperature. If you don’t feel like swimming, you can always head to our fitness center. You’ll also enjoy restaurant-style dining for all three meals. Our food not only tastes good, but it’s good for you!
Every resident also gets access to My W Life, our well-being program. Our programs and activities are focused on eight areas of wellness — physical, lifelong learning, nutritional, social, emotional, spiritual, vocational, and community. Our goal is to help you engage in what interests you, be active in our community, and avoid any harmful habits. We offer fitness classes that will keep you in the best shape possible, classes brought to you through a partnership with USF Sarasota-Manatee in topics such as painting and Spanish, and options like volunteering to keep you engaged with others. Another perk of living at Westminster Manor is our pharmacy. It’s easy to get your prescriptions filled quickly, and we’ll even deliver them to you.
Even if you don’t live in our community, you can take advantage of Westminster Home Care. You can request companion care or nursing services, depending on your needs. We can lend a helping hand with medication management, home-health services, and meal preparation. We’re also happy to keep you company or help you get to your appointments. We’ll come to you anywhere in Manatee County, for as little as two hours or around the clock, depending on what you prefer. Our rehabilitation center is also available to non-residents.
Living Arrangements
We have several options for you to choose from when you’re selecting a home with us. Independent living residents can choose from one- or two-bedroom apartments, as well as two sizes of one-bedroom villa homes. No matter which feels right for you, you’ll enjoy maintenance-free living and a carefree lifestyle.
If you’ve decided you would benefit from assisted living, we will still encourage you to be independent when you can, but we’ll always be there when you need us. Assisted living apartments come with a courtesy call system, so you can let us know whenever you need help. We’ll assist you with things like bathing and dressing, medication management, and scheduled transportation. Should you need it, we can also arrange for therapy services, and you’ll also be able to take advantage of our rehabilitation services.
The Health Center at Westminster offers private and semi-private suites for those who need a higher level of care. We offer restorative care, whether you need to stay for a short rehabilitation period or need long-term care. Our skilled nurses can help with things like IV therapies and wound care. We also have physical, occupational, and speech therapy available in our Health Center seven days a week.
