Medical Care Services

The staff at Abbey includes trained nurses who make sure that our residents are safe and well taken care of. We always have a doctor on-call to handle adjustments in medication, provide consultation, and respond to any urgent medical needs that arise. Abbey Assisted Living offers respite care – a short-term stay – perfect for those recovering from a hospital visit, the interim during which a caregiver takes an extended vacation, or simply to experience a senior living trial period. On-site hospice care is provided as well. Services for residents with disorientation or lack-of-awareness issues ensure that residents are well-directed and supported in living a healthy lifestyle.

Care Types Offered

Abbey Assisted Living is considered a Care Home, which refers to a house, often in a residential neighborhood, that is adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.

  • There were steps and ramps which would be difficult for someone with a walker. They allowed smoking in the house. Up to three in a bedroom.

  • Unsure Of the Care

It was very loud here often, considering that is the same place where the staff live. There were kids and animals running around. My mom was here for a week until she fell. I don't really know how it was but I was notified by her physical therapist of some updates about her care.
