Amber Court of Elizabeth offers comfortable, caring and affordable Assisted Living choices for seniors. We are located in the thriving downtown area of Elizabeth. We are near many urban conveniences, such as restaurants, shopping, banking, entertainment, and much more. Major highways and public transportation are easily accessed. City Hall and Trinitas Hospital are just a few blocks away. We are very proud of our heritage. Amber Court of Elizabeth is the former Elizabeth-Carteret Hotel, a landmark building erected in 1927. It was transformed into an Assisted Living Residence in 2004 and joined the Amber Court Assisted Living Communities as of May 2008.

Our Founders, Alfred and Judith Schonbereger lovingly manage Amber Court Communities. With characteristic devotion, they have brought unmatched quality care to seniors since 1968. Second generation family members are at the helm of each residence to guarantee the continuation of their guiding principles. Each resident is cherished, honored and a secure member of the Amber Court community.

    I am very satisfied with the service and caring kindness of the staff. My mom has been a resident at Amber court since 2014 she feels safe and enjoys herself there. She is very active in the community It is comforting to know that she is someplace safe and reliable. I have never found it to be anything but the best choice we have made thus far

    So far everything is working out pretty well for my mother since her move to this community. I know she is safe, and receiving good care. The staff is very aware of her needs, based on what I have told them. She hasn't had any complaints so far, and everything is working out well. This is a community I would recommend.
