Resident Testimonials: 'I have lived at Autumn View Gardens for a little over six years now. This is home for me. The staff and residents are so friendly; they are like family. Our meals are so good and we have great activities. We also get to go to church right at Autumn View Gardens and we hold prayer services. The staff family brunches are such a pleasure. It just adds up to home.' --Kaye Frisz, resident

Another resident, Marjorie, says, 'After a fall resulting in damage to my hip, I was in a hospital for a few days and then in a nursing home where my husband was. My daughter and I decided to look into assisted living and we made an appointment to visit Autumn View Gardens. After our visit we decided we didn't need to look any further and I have been here for three years. I would recommend Autumn View Gardens to anyone.'

  • My review of Autumn View Gardens, Assisted Living and Memory Care

Our family had an in person tour before the restrictions and our experience was great. We had a good feeling about the place, but we did not put our loved one there because at the time they did not have a memory care unit, they were just starting the process to open up a memory care unit.

We moved in right at the height of coronavirus lockdowns. We weren't allowed inside to visit and only got to see our loved one through the glass. So there's a lot I don't know about what was going on. They did call a few times to let me know my loved one had fallen, but it was always a day or two later. I'm not sure why they would call after the fact and not right when it happened. The last call I received from them was when they took her to the hospital because she had stopped eating and drinking. The hospital found she had a broken hip, which I feel was likely due to one of her falls that Autumn View Gardens didn't do anything about. At that point, we took her home to enter hospice care. I would not recommend Autumn View Gardens. I went back to get a few of her things, one of which was a huge digital clock that gave her the day, the week, the month at a glance, because she couldn't keep her days straight. When I arrived to pick up her things, her door was unlocked, and the clock was missing. It was the only expensive thing she had there. I was not very happy with them at all.

  • Lovely atmosphere

From the moment I walked in Autumn View Gardens, I felt a peace and comfortable. It is a family atmosphere where residents happy and actively participating in social activities. Many staff members have been there for years which is refreshing and says a lot about the community as well. The community is in a great location in Ellisville and I love that nature is all around.
