Community Amenities and Services

Here at Avista Home, we specialize in helping residents with day to day tasks that have become overwhelming or difficult over the years. Don’t worry about your linens, makeup, hair, hygiene, or other housekeeping needs — we’ve got you covered!

In addition to taking care of your housekeeping and personal care needs, we also specialize in seniors with memory care difficulties. We are a secured community with a wander guard available for residents who need memory care. We also provide incontinence care, diabetes care, and medication management.

We also have hospice care available on-site and can connect you to a variety of doctors, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, dentists, speech therapists, and podiatrists. Regardless of what care you need, we are here to help you get connected to doctors in the Houston area.

Three meals a day are provided for our residents and we provide optional snacks as well. We work hard to accommodate any dietary restrictions residents may have and provide delicious and nutritious meals every day. Our home is equipped with a large dining room where residents can gather and share meals, games, and conversation.

Our easy access to downtown Houston gives residents a variety of activities to choose from. We are happy to arrange transportation at a cost. Our staff spends time planning both on-site and off-site community events for our residents. A range of activities are available, so regardless of your interests, we have something for you!

Living Arrangements

Both of our homes house a small number of residents, making our community more personalized than larger assisted living communities. They have spacious indoor and outdoor communal spaces, including a spacious back deck! Our homes are classic mid-century ranch-style and are comfortable and cozy. We offer private and shared suites that have classic, mid-century furniture and a cozy, inviting environment.

(1) A Place For Mom
  • Caring community

What i liked about it is was it was smaller community that could offer more personalized care. The caregivers were nice, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care for the residents. We chose this community because of the size, the location, and it was more in our budget. The food was okay and they offered some variety . I would recommend this community.
