Our Community

Bell's outdoor common areas are designed with accessibility, flow, and movement in mind. Our community has an outside patio garden accessible to everyone. Residents have access to many relaxing communal spaces including a hot tub and swimming pool. Our facility is located near public transit options, providing residents with convenient transportation services. Bell has free parking available to residents who have their own vehicle, and parking is offered to guests for the duration of their visit. We think of our community as purpose-built, providing the benefit of individualized care - every aspect of the community is designed to cater to the unique needs of its residents.

Living Arrangements

We have several unit types available at Bell, including private 1-bedrooms, units designed for wheelchair accessibility, and handicapped units designed for easy accessibility and for use by disabled residents. Units are built in every direction so you can choose between morning and evening sunlight. To accommodate the comfort of our residents, our community has air conditioning, and temperatures are regulated to optimize safety. Our residents also enjoy free access to cable, satellite TV, and free wireless internet.

On-Site Activities

Bell has designated staff members to regularly curate events and activities to keep our residents physically and mentally engaged. We love to host holiday parties, birthday parties, BBQs, picnics, and outdoor get-togethers. Our communal space has a piano centerpiece to host scheduled performances, or for musically-inclined residents to sit and play. We also organize community service programs for our community members to participate in.

Dining

Regular meals are provided to all of our residents throughout the day, and room service is always an option, for those who would like some privacy while they dine. Our culinary staff can prepare meals for folks with any dietary restrictions, including low sodium or vegetarian options.

Personal Services

Bell offers residents an opportunity to sit back and relax while we handle the chores. This includes tidying up your space, as well as laundering and dry cleaning. We offer grocery shopping services to eliminate the need for trips to the store. And when it comes to personal grooming, you don't even have to leave the community - we have a beautician and barber on-site!

Religious Services

We offer devotional services at our location, so residents can worship with their neighbors. Catholic religious services are available, provided by a visiting chaplain. Several churches are within a short distance should you have a specific congregation you'd like to worship with.

Medical Care

This community employs licensed nurse practitioners for administered injections and medication administration, along with a program to monitor insulin levels via glucose tests. Staff members are versed in the usage of the Hoyer Lift for transfer assistance. Our facility is properly equipped and staffed to handle feeding IV insertion and feeding tube management. We are also capable of providing incontinence care for bladder and bowel-related symptoms, including catheter care.

Services for residents with disorientation or lack of awareness issues ensure that all of our community members are well-directed and receive support in living a healthy lifestyle, and that no one's needs are neglected. Our facilities are secure and the staff is specially trained in de-escalating exit-seeking behaviors, as well as other behavioral issues. Our facilities are fully equipped to safely handle any related occurrences that may arise.

On-Site Medical Services

Our staff is awake and available 24-hours-a-day to assist your loved one with any time-sensitive needs that may arise. We offer on-site massage therapy to our residents, along with speech therapy services provided by trained and certified speech-pathologists. Our residents can schedule reminders and exceptions for both medications and care activities. At Bell, we offer hospice services, as well as respite care - a short-term stay at a senior living community - perfect for those recovering from a hospital visit, the interim during which a caregiver takes an extended vacation, or simply to experience a senior living trial period.

Visiting Care

Regular visits from specialized occupational therapists are available to aid residents with development, recovery, and maintenance of the skills needed for daily living. A visiting nurse is available to all community members, a doctor is always on call to handle adjustments in medication, continued consultation, and urgent medical needs when they arise. A dentist pays regular visits to our facility to serve our residents' oral hygiene, and we recruit first-class visiting podiatrists whose job it is to ensure our residents are happy, fit, and mobile.

Bell Adult Care Home is licensed as an Assisted Living Home with Directed Care Services. These terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Home

In the state of Arizona, an Assisted Living Home refers to a health care institution other than a hospital or a nursing care institution which provides resident beds or residential units, supervisory care services, personal care service, directed care services or health-related services for persons who do not need inpatient nursing care. This can include adult foster care, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services provided on a continuing basis. This type of facility provides resident rooms or residential units to ten or fewer residents.

Directed Care Services

The term Directed Care Services refers to programs and services, including personal care services, provided to persons who are incapable of recognizing danger, summoning assistance, expressing need or making basic care decisions.
