Bowman Place at Olde Bedford is a new non-profit assisted living and memory care community opening in March 2021 in Bedford, NH. A dedicated group of individuals formed Senior Living of Bedford to oversee the construction and management of Bowman Place as a private non-profit. A volunteer Board of Trustees holds the organization to a higher standard of quality services, expert management, and financial integrity. Bowman Place operates on principles such as dedication to serving seniors, investing profits back into the facility, and giving back to the community.Nestled in the historic section of Bedford, NH, Bowman Place is ideally located near shopping, entertainment, theaters, hospitals, and healthcare centers, Established in 1750, Bedford has retained its classic New England small town charm, especially in the town’s historic district. This area of Bedford is the spirit of the community with its classic old colonial homes, state-of-the-art library, numerous churches, active historical society, historic Town House, Bedford Village Inn and the popular Bedford Village Common Park. Bedford offers the perfect combination of a suburban and rural lifestyle.Designed in the traditional New England shingle style, the interior includes inviting common areas which provide comfortable places to gather with friends and family. The community houses numerous amenities, such as the Gather Dining Room, café/bistro, activity rooms, library/reading room, fitness room, Bowman Theater, a creative art studio, game rooms and other common area spaces. Located on 16 acres in a country-like setting, Bowman Place offers park-like grounds which will feature seating areas, walking paths and gardens for residents to enjoy and participate.
Bowman Place has been designed as a 95,000 square foot, three-story building with 105 apartments, including 69 assisted living apartments and 36 in memory care. Residents have a choice of studio, one bedroom, one bedroom with den, or two-bedroom apartments. Apartments are light-filled, with large windows to optimize the beautiful views. The all-inclusive monthly fee includes utilities such as heating, air conditioning, and electricity; three gourmet meals a day; apartment maintenance; wide range of social cultural and recreational activities; emergency response system; housekeeping and laundry services; concierge staff; full-service beauty salon; fitness room and classes; scheduled transportation; and room service.Personalized care and services are delivered around the clock by a staff of well-trained professionals. The administration works with residents and their families to develop a customized Personalized Caring Plan based on personal preferences and established daily routines. Whether its help with activities of daily living or medication management, this personalized daily support encourages optimal independence. For memory care residents, Bowman Place offers a unique and award-winning memory care program. In addition to receiving assistance and support with daily personal care tasks, our Behavior-Based Ergonomics Therapies program is truly a Person-Centered Care therapy designed to help our associates enhance the dignity and quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Bowman Place is the only community in New Hampshire offering this therapy program. The BBET program consists of four therapies customized to each individual resident’s interests and capabilities. These therapies include: music therapy, curated video therapy, stimulating therapy and memory prop therapy.

A robust calendar of social, recreational and cultural programs have been designed to enrich and enhance a lively senior lifestyle.
