Windham Terrace is a colonial-style community where traditional meets country to provide an extraordinarily comforting atmosphere. Community Services and Amenities

First and foremost, Windham Terrace believes in creating a homelike environment for residents. The compassionate staff fosters an engaging environment to help residents connect with one another and the care team. Whether they’re enjoying a gourmet meal in the elegant dining room, reading a book in the cozy library, or simply relaxing by the warm fireplace, residents are encouraged to accompany each other while doing so. Other shared spaces residents can help themselves to include the country kitchen, sunroom, movie theater, whirlpool bath, and salon/barbershop. If residents prefer nature, the community also offers several outdoor areas like the terrace, sitting areas, porches, gardens, and walking paths.

While residents are enjoying their time, the staff helps to ensure they don’t worry about day-to-day tasks. Associates take care of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance to help residents lead a worry-free lifestyle. The dedicated caregiving team is also ready to assist with daily living activities, medication management, and nursing needs. To help maintain optimal health, the community offers three, nutritious meals and snacks daily along with individually crafted health, fitness, and wellness programs. In-house visits from nurses, doctors, and specialists can be coordinated. Additionally, scheduling and transportation for appointments are taken care of. The community also offers an incredible activities calendar to help residents stay socially, culturally, and educationally active.

For residents experiencing Alzheimer’s or dementia, memory care offers a calming environment that provides familiarity and attentive care. The memory care staff encourages independence by promoting participation in daily tasks and offering several activities to stimulate memory and the senses.

As the care team does everything they can to make residents feel at home, they also want to help ensure residents feel safe by providing a secure environment. To do so, the staff works around the clock, and the community provides a comprehensive emergency response plan and system.     My loved one does not participate in many activities but they do try to get her interested and willing to participate. My loved one does not eat much and does not like to get up early in the mornings. She normally has lunch but does not eat dinner all of the time. The meals are not the best and I do feel like they could have more of a variety of things for the residents to pick from and a wider range for the time that they can come and eat because my loved one does not always want to eat at the same times that they are open. one of the big pluses of this community was that they also have a bathtub instead of a shower. The staff are excellent and the administrators are excellent as well as well as the custodial staff.

    Thanks to your wonderful staff for taking such good care of my friends parents. This is truly a caring community that goes above and beyond for their residents. When the pandemic, hit Windham Terrace did everything they could to prevent their residents from getting it. They were able to engage the residents with socializing and activities and made the best of a bad situation, they even had entertainment outside in the summer! The staff could not be more caring and I am so happy that my friends parents are there and when my parents are ready to move, I know where they will go! Thank you.

    Excellent!

    Thanks to your wonderful staff for taking such good care of my friends parents. This is truly a caring community that goes above and beyond for their residents. When the pandemic, hit Windham Terrace did everything they could to prevent their residents from getting it. They were able to engage the residents with socializing and activities and made the best of a bad situation, they even had entertainment outside in the summer! The staff could not be more caring and I am so happy that my friends parents are there and when my parents are ready to move, I know where they will go! Thank you.

The staff has truly been outstanding from the time I first inquired to today when the nurse director sat down with my mother to tell her that she would be moving to their memory care unit. The residents are treated respectfully, like family. Any issues that we had have always been handled right away. It's not easy when relatives get older and The Windham Terrace has made me feel that my mother is safe, well looked after and happy. Between my daughter working at assisted living facilities and my relatives staying in them, I am very familiar with how these organizations work. This one is exceptional.
