  • Our experience at Brookdale

I would encourage people to come visit. I looked at a lot of other places and chose Brookdale. We've had a positive experience overall. They've been good to my loved one, and I'm happy with the treatment she's getting. I haven't heard of any places that are better, but I've heard of others that are worse. I feel like they have enough activities overall, but maybe not for her more advanced class of dementia. I feel like they're definitely making an effort with her, and the activities that she does participate in, they help her out and encourage her. I think smaller, more social groups of 2-3 people could be beneficial, but I understand that involves more employees and more cost. But she has a smile on her face most of the time. That's all I can expect, that she's happy. I feel they're in the ballpark and comparable to the cost of other communities.

  • My review of Brookdale Burlington Memory Care

We toured this facility virtually and the experience was interesting, we weren't able to really get a feel for the place but the took us around the facility on their tablet and the staff we spoke with was very nice and had good communication.

  • Brookdale Burlington Memory Care

The community is usually very clean. On the whole, the staff is pretty friendly. Out of all of the staff that have worked with my husband, all but one have been very nice. I do wish they would be more communicative with me about his care more and occasionally, things do go missing from his room. The food is not very good and it seems that most of the time the residents don't eat the food all that much. Because of the food, they have struggled with maintaining my husbands dietary needs. On the whole they are good, but on some occasions, it seems like they don't have enough training to deal with certain situations. It does also seem like they should provide some more supplies than they do. The room he is in is very nice and it does have a nice bathroom attached to it. They used to have someone come and sing every weekend to the residents. I don't completely think we get our money's worth from the community.
