An alert system, secured entrances and exits, and keypad entries are also used to promote safety for all.

Brookdale’s community is carefully designed and decorated to provide residents with a familiar and pleasant experience. There is a large, enclosed courtyard that provides plenty of sunlight; and several homelike spaces for residents to enjoy, including a cozy fireside living room, a game room, and a quaint garden.

Here, residents with different cognitive levels and abilities can receive the care they need, when it’s needed most. Through the exclusive Clare Bridge memory care program, residents are provided with a minimum of six enriching activities each day, to boost social connection while preserving life skills. Some activities include dancing, brain fitness programs, stimulating discussions, and other dementia-friendly activities. The Crossings program is also available to residents in the earlier stages of dementia. It acts as a stepping stone between assisted living and memory care, and provides even more colorful activities like art, journaling, and excursions to museums. The Solace program, on the other hand, provides additional time for grooming, as well as time for music and aromatherapy activities, to residents in the later stages of dementia. Wherever your unique journey takes you, staff will be here to provide support.

In addition to person-centered care and security, residents receive assistance with transportation, housekeeping, laundry, and home maintenance. While the community staff simplifies your days, you can fully embrace a stress-free lifestyle. Take advantage of the convenient amenities offered, including the postal services, an on-site beauty and barber shop, and a community kitchen to enjoy.

  • Pros and Cons

We read a lot of reviews, and Brookdale Fort Collins had the best reviews that we saw. We've noticed that others have tended to have some of the same complaints as we do, mostly revolving around cleanliness and food. I would say you definitely have to go there and make sure they're not getting complacent with their duties, especially regarding cleaning. I also think they need to look at their food a little bit. I haven't tried it, but I wasn't impressed with a meal I saw the other day. It was just a pile of yellow corn and a tortilla. There was no other color or vegetables on the plate, especially green vegetables. But my loved one seems to be making friends and adjusting well. And I think they're doing a good job keeping the residents safe from Covid, for instance requiring masks and checking visitors' temperatures. I'm hopeful that as Covid eases they'll be able to go on more outings.

  • Highly Recommend With Wonderful Staff

I would tell others to go to Brookdale, during our loved one's stay they were there during the pandemic. My ratings are based on my experience during COVID. The staff was perfect to work with over the phone. They would let me know of any changes of my loved one, to the point of any Hospice changes as well. The Brookdale staff worked amazingly well with a very independent individual who was visually impaired and hard of hearing.
