Emerald Meadows is a Providence Life Services Community. Providence, a non-profit organization, has been committed to providing quality senior living options to those entrusted to our care in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana for over a century. Our organization offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing Care, and Post-Acute Rehabilitation Stays. We also offer short-term Respite Care, Home Healthcare, Private Duty, Hospice services, and Care Management. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those we serve in the name of Jesus Christ.

When a businessman purchased a plot of land across from a farm dotted with apple trees, his dream was to offer Assisted Living services in a secluded location. After building Emerald Meadows, he quickly realized he needed help. In 2001, he transferred ownership to Providence Life Services, and we were able to transform the facility into a place to find compassionate care that feels like genuine community.

Today we offer both Assisted Living and Memory Care at Emerald Meadows, with healthcare staff on hand 24/7. Our residents appreciate the cozy atmosphere and caring service. Emerald Meadows is a hidden gem, nestled behind the Walmart in Grand Rapids. The gorgeous country setting of Emerald Meadows and its grove-like campus create an inviting family atmosphere.

At Emerald Meadows, our Assisted Living philosophy includes a goal to allow a person to be as independent as they can be for as long as they can be. Every day at Emerald Meadows, we preserve and enhance a person's independence while caring for the whole person — spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. We tailor our Assisted Living program to fit your specific needs. It’s the best of both worlds—independence with assistance.

We are committed to Memory Care that is extra-ordinary. For families facing the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease of someone they love, the road ahead may appear overwhelming. We understand that when you’re looking for memory care support, you need to know you can trust the staff and the program. The compassionate care that drives all our interactions is what really sets Emerald Meadows Memory Care apart. Our caregivers have developed an intuitive ability to understand the emotional challenges of memory issues, so they can craft personalized programs that reach people socially, spiritually, and creatively. Your family member will receive all the social and dining benefits of Assisted Living, but they’ll have the added support that will allow you to step back and be a son or daughter again.

At Emerald Meadows, you’ll have all the service and support options you need to live life to your fullest. But we offer more than healthcare — we offer fine dining and a Life Enrichment program that promotes creativity and socializing. Our residents choose from a variety of cultural, social, and recreational programming offered right at your doorstep. You can take an exercise class, visit a local attraction on a group outing, attend an on-campus worship service, or join our reading club. You'll have plenty of opportunities to choose how to spend your time.

Enjoy three home-cooked, restaurant-style meals in our dining room, surrounded by our courtyard garden and a three-tiered fountain. Our dining services team will get to know your preferences and needs, and they’ll do whatever they can to make your meal enjoyable. If you have dietary restrictions, or even if there’s food you just don’t like, we’ll make sure you have a delicious meal, every meal.

We offer three different floor plans for spacious studios, with large baths, kitchenettes, and inspiring views, including occasional glimpses of wildlife! We provide morning care, bedtime care, bath services, medication reminders and weekly housekeeping services. We are dedicated to all the lives entrusted to our care.
