  • Comfort and Care

My father and mother both live at Country Gardens. I believe the caretakers are genuinely concerned about the folks who live there. The caretakers know each person on a personal level, and the environment feels like home ! I know that this time of Covid has been very stressful for everyone. When Country Gardens had to respond with a time of quarantine, I felt confident that my parents were getting the best care possible. My Dad told me there were multiple visits by the staff throughout each day. I am thankful for the loving care that each person receives by the patient and loving people who work there.

  • Our experience at Country Gardens

I do know they take good care of people, and my loved one has dementia. It seems like they watch after them really good. When I go in there, everything's always been clean. The care is pretty good, but I think they could use more people. The staff are always running around doing stuff. The food's pretty good. It has good flavor. The meal I tried was chicken and rice, mixed vegetables, and chocolate cake, with sweet tea. With Covid, there weren't really activities for a while. But they got a new activities director, and she always has something going on for the residents - playing games, holiday celebrations. At Easter, there was fruit and a little buffet for the residents, with games and prizes. Everybody got a stuffed bunny. The activities director brought in watermelons the other day and cut them up, and everyone was loving it. They have a happy hour - she'll take fruit with sparkling grape juice and make them a drink. They've been really happy with it. Before, they used to give them wine, but she's trying to get away from that. She's also planted them a little garden that the residents can help tend if they want to. There's a new director as well, but it's been a positive change. They've done a lot more stuff, decorating the place more, doing the flowers outside and hanging ferns up. Those things were there before, but it's a lot better now. It's like they're putting more money into stuff.

  • Not that good

There is high staff turnover and lack of compassion Staff has their favorites and the rest of residents are out of luck I know COVID has taken its toll on employees, but the residents care is their responsibility
