Just north of downtown Minneapolis in Blaine, Minnesota, Edgemont Place provides family-centered programs and services to residents seeking memory care services. Our one-story community offers an easy-to-navigate floor plan, cozy common spaces, and plenty of opportunities for socializing.

Along with this commitment, our team works hard to provide resources for residents and family members as they navigate through the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Families can rest easy knowing that our professional staff is available for around-the-clock care needs and assistance and we’re close to many medical facilities, including Blaine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital Unity Campus. We’re also within reach to many local shops, restaurants, parks, trails, and entertainment options. Our golf-loving residents enjoy our convenient access to TPC Twin Cities, which annually hosts the 3M Championship of the PGA Champions Tour.

Community Services and Amenities

Through our JEA-exclusive Meaningful Moments programming, our caregivers spend time learning everything there is to know about each resident, allowing us to create activities and events based on their past hobbies, interests, and passions. From short stories on the patio to baking in the community kitchen, daily exercise programs to walking club, happy hour to gardening, bingo, bowling, and more, residents at Edgemont Place have a variety of activities to enjoy each and every day.

Along with our activities calendar, we also put significant focus on dining, training and education, family partnership, and wellness. Each of the five cornerstones of Meaningful Moments work to engage residents with adaptable, purposeful living as well as healthy socialization.

We understand the importance of staying connected to loved ones in order to build upon relationships. That’s why we partner with families through education, transition assistance, and frequent communication through the Sagely app. For those in need of temporary care, we also offer short-term respite care services at Edgemont Place.

Living Arrangements

Residents of Edgemont Place can choose from private, semi-private, and companion suites. Each suite provides a bathroom equipped with safety features, an abundance of natural light, and are designed to feel like home. Weekly housekeeping and laundry services keep spaces clean and comfortable. Residents are encouraged to decorate their space with family photos and their favorite furnishings.

Edgemont Place provides housing with services as well as comprehensive home care. In the state of Minnesota, these terms are defined as follows:

Housing with Services

An establishment providing sleeping accommodations to one or more residents, and offering one or more regularly scheduled health-related services or two or more regularly scheduled supportive services. Health-related services include professional nursing services, home health aide tasks, or the central storage of medication for residents. Supportive services include help with personal laundry, handling or assisting with personal funds of residents, or arranging for medical services, health-related services, social services, or transportation to medical or social services appointments. This establishment may have a special care unit for residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Comprehensive Home Care

A home care agency that can provide assisted living services along with supportive services.
