Family Home for Adults is a senior care home located in the charming hamlet of Coram, NY in the town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County. Located 50 miles from Manhattan, Brookhaven has a shoreline on the Atlantic Ocean and the Long Island Sound. There's lots to do in town with a newly upgraded nature center where a 'bat safari' and exploration of flora and fauna along the beach are popular events. A beautiful senior center offers many activities such as yoga, dancing, cards, internet instructions, book discussions and workshops.

Family Home for Adults encourages its residents to live an independent and healthy lifestyle, while our compassionate and friendly caregivers assist them with daily living activities such as showering, grooming and medication management. Our staff is available 24-hours to meet any needs that arise, from illness to just a comforting conversation. Our caregivers strive to establish trust and respect with our residents and make sure our seniors feel safe and secure in our community. A nurse visits regularly and medical assistance is minutes away.

  • Overall the visit was fine even though the contact had no idea I was scheduled for a visit. There currently aren't any openings; the owner prefers males to females.

    The home that was recommended is an excellent value for the price. The owner/operator is a pleasure to work with and has shown great compassion for my brother since he has moved in. I knew that there would not be any activities provided and that I would have to arrange that for my brother. That was explained right up front and is in no way a negative comment about the home. I am in the process of arranging that and the owner/operator has provided some recommendations. I believe the home is an excellent value for the services being provided. The cleanliness of the home and the care and attention that my brother is receiving also excellent as based on his present condition, he is needy and those needs are being met.

    The home that was recommended is an excellent value for the price. The owner/operator is a pleasure to work with and has shown great compassion for my brother since he has moved in. I knew that there would not be any activities provided and that I would have to arrange that for my brother. That was explained right up front and is in no way a negative comment about the home. I am in the process of arranging that and the owner/operator has provided some recommendations. I believe the home is an excellent value for the services being provided. The cleanliness of the home and the care and attention that my brother is receiving also excellent as based on his present condition, he is needy and those needs are being met.
