Grace Assisted Living at Englefield Green

Our loved one has made friends and we liked the community on the tour and they are pet friendly, but we are having some issues. The meals and dining service is a problem the residents have been complaining about the meals being cold. They tried closing up the dining space so the residents are closer to the kitchen but not sure if that has really helped. We do know there are activities scheduled but we aren't sure how much participation they are getting. We are also having troubles when it comes to the finances, our loved one is level one care which is assistance with showers and medication. Sometimes they have to reschedule her showers for a reason and it may be days in between before she gets one, so we would like to see more consistency there. Also we are trying to get our loved ones long term care figured out and between the doctor, the care center and the administration, all three are given different cognitive skills so now the insurance says our loved one does not qualify for long term care.

I really liked the community. I just did not like the outdoor space of where her apartment would be. The open units all go into one big court yard and its a view of other apartments and she wanted more scenery. This was a lovely visit and the tour guide was very informative.

The community looks and smells clean. The quality is great and they are able to assist with additional care that my loved one needed. The staff are responsive to questions or concerns that I may have about my loved one's care.
