Living Amenities

Kristal Bell is best described as a home for seniors who are semi-autonomous. We have 10 private rooms, each with their own bathroom. The rooms are large and designed like small apartments, perfect for our residents who enjoy their privacy and solitude. Our home is beautifully decorated, clean, and maintained to the highest standards for those who call Kristal Bell home. Courteous staff is available to provide caring assistance to all residents, helping with their activities of daily living when needed. Pet care is also available, and pets are allowed in residents' rooms. Free wifi and cable satellite TV are available to all residents as well.

All common areas are designed for ease, accessibility, and safety of movement for those with limited-mobility, and our high staff-to-resident ratio enables us to assist residents with their individual and personalized needs.

Dining Amenities

Meals are home-cooked by a thoughtful and skilled staff who take time in accommodating the individual preferences and needs of each of our residents. We offer specific dietary adjustments such as low sodium or low/no sugar options. Our meals are served family-style in our lovely dining room in order to promote socialization during dinner hours, and this also helps our staff to monitor our residents' food intake for their safety.

Activities

Our outdoor patio-garden area is perfect to sit and relax peacefully or to host a small gathering with guests. The space is designed to be accessible to all residents with limited mobility. Care is taken by our staff to make sure our outdoor areas are kept pristine and peaceful. Indoor common areas are complete with areas for reading, watching TV, playing games, chatting with friends, or having social gatherings. Our staff works hard to organize social, recreational, and educational activities tailored to residents' individual life interests. At Kristal Bell, we aim to create an environment that will inspire residents to foster new interests to keep their spirits engaged and growing.

Personal Services

The friendly and courteous staff at Kristal Bell is ready to assist all residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed, including transferring positions, eating, bathing, toileting, and grooming of all types. It is a priority at Kristal Bell that our residents feel dignified in the care they are receiving. Laundry and dry cleaning services are available to all of our residents, and housekeeping staff makes sure our home remains clean and comfortable at all times. Complimentary transportation is provided to all residents for doctors appointments, devotional services, shopping, or any other needs that may arise. Our home is close to several neighborhood churches, pharmacies, and shopping centers, and is within two miles of the Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.

Medical Services

At Kristal Bell, we are proud to have registered nurses on staff who can assist and monitor our residents with their medications and care treatments, such as insulin injections and regulation of blood sugar, wound care, catheter care, and more. A dentist pays regular visits to our home, and we recruit visiting podiatrists to help our residents maintain mobility, comfort, and health of their feet. Specialized occupational therapists are available to aid development, recovery, improvement, and maintenance of skills needed for daily living. Qualified speech therapists also visit our home to help maintain or recover language skills. We are committed to helping you or your loved one maintain autonomy. Hospice care is offered when needed, as well as respite care a short-term stay perfect for those recovering from a hospital visit, the interim during which a caregiver takes an extended vacation, or simply to experience a senior living trial period. We also offer services for residents who may need additional care for disorientation or lack of awareness issues. All residents at Kristal Bell are supported in their path towards a healthy, fulfilled lifestyle, and no one falls between the cracks.

Assisted Living Home

In the state of Arizona, an Assisted Living Home refers to a health care institution other than a hospital or a nursing care institution which provides resident beds or residential units, supervisory care services, personal care service, directed care services or health-related services for persons who do not need inpatient nursing care. This can include adult foster care, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services provided on a continuing basis. This type of facility provides resident rooms or residential units to ten or fewer residents.

Directed Care Services

The term Directed Care Services refers to programs and services, including personal care services, provided to persons who are incapable of recognizing danger, summoning assistance, expressing need or making basic care decisions.
