The heart of Maplewood is embodied through our Vistas assisted living program, which offers premier care to seniors who simply need some support in their everyday lives. Maplewood offers two neighborhoods that provide support to those needing memory support. Tides is a safe environment for those experiencing early signs of memory loss, in which they can live a life of supported independence. Our Currents program is for those with advanced memory loss and uses emotion-based therapies that help them continue to enjoy life to their maximum potential. For added peace of mind, our licensed nurses are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Living Arrangements

Maplewood offers a comfortable selection of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Units are thoughtfully designed, built specifically for older adults, and are beautifully appointed with modern kitchenettes, granite countertops, private bathrooms, and state-of-the-art safety features. Staff are always available throughout the day to assist residents with any needs within their unit.

  • Very happy. Very nice place.

    You really have to be your patient's advocate. You have to check on things and make sure they're getting done. If you want your loved one to go to an activity, it's your job to say something. But our loved one is going to activities we never thought he would go to, and that's very impressive. I like the staff. They're very good. The few times I've been there, I've notices some cleanliness issues. Overall it's good, but his bathroom hadn't been checked recently. I think it's pretty expensive, but overall it's been a really good experience.

    My parents chose to spend their remaining years at Maplewood at Newtown. They never regretted it. The facility itself is beautiful - modern, clean and comfortable. But what makes Maplewood exceptional are the staff, who often feel more like extended family. Whether a resident is fully independent, or in need of extensive oversight, their needs are equally well met. The staff are compassionate and attentive. Medical care from the nurses is excellent. There are a multitude of activities across a wide spectrum to keep the residents engaged – lectures, art classes, live musicians, fitness classes, to name a few. I have no hesitations in recommending Maplewood to my friends and family.

    Wonderful experience at Maplewood at Newtown

    My parents chose to spend their remaining years at Maplewood at Newtown. They never regretted it. The facility itself is beautiful - modern, clean and comfortable. But what makes Maplewood exceptional are the staff, who often feel more like extended family. Whether a resident is fully independent, or in need of extensive oversight, their needs are equally well met. The staff are compassionate and attentive. Medical care from the nurses is excellent. There are a multitude of activities across a wide spectrum to keep the residents engaged – lectures, art classes, live musicians, fitness classes, to name a few. I have no hesitations in recommending Maplewood to my friends and family.
