(1) A Place For Mom
  • A case of “ you can’t judge a book by its cover.” The area is on a culdesac close to a busy retail area. The Supportive facility ‘s exterior (housed in the historic old Goldblatt building) is unremarkable. However the interior is lovely and ADA compliant . Everything was beautiful and the only area I felt needed Developement was the rooftop area where I’d wanted to see more greenery since there isn’t an outdoor garden. That said, my standard for not putting my parents anywhere I wouldn’t live were met. [Name removed] the Director of Marketing was excellent, residents know and chat with her. I saw a diverse population of residents playing cards. I also encountered a couple of women who provide wellness programs exiting that had good things to say. My ONLY concern is how long my mom could stay there given her memory issues. My sister and I acknowledge that one day her needs may have them live apart.
