  • Facility was nice. The Assisted Living facility seemed comfortable and was not an overwhelmingly big facility. Saw a limited amount of staff during my tour and was told there are typically 2 CNAs available to support approximately 45 residents. Assisted living rooms were nice, especially the one bedroom unit. Services and supports seem to be similar to other senior living options. Common areas were clean. Dining options looked nice. Residents seemed content with their surroundings, happy and friendly. Lots of information about daily activities, staff, levels of supports, etc. were shared with me. A good consideration for my family member.

  • Set up in an older, quaint neighborhood

My parents are living here and I believe my family is very happy so far. I think the staff at the facility is very attentive; they’ve had the nurses coming to the room, and have done a pretty good job with the medication. The facility is older and it’s in a nice, quaint neighborhood. The rooms are nice, as well. The windows are older fashioned with a nice trim and they let a lot of light in. The only thing that my mom was complaining about was the food. They prepare low sodium and low fat foods and it just doesn’t have the same taste as you would have at home. The social worker is very helpful and they’ll call me if there’s anything going on that I need to know about. The room is always clean and I visit there at least once or twice a week. Every time I’m there, there’s someone cleaning. It’s in a very nice neighborhood and I really have no complaints. The only thing is the cost. They’re very competitive with other facilities. The price you pay does include food, housekeeping, and laundry. There is a list for additional services in case you need them but they’re all at extra costs. I would recommend Norwood. It’s a very nice place.
