for a local A Place for Mom advisor

Conveniently located northwest of San Jose, California, is the sunny, lively city of Santa Clara, home to Pacific Gardens. Our assisted living and memory support community is nestled in a quiet neighborhood south of the hustle and bustle of Santa Clara. As the entertainment capital of Silicon Valley, there’s plenty to do and see in our little piece of The Golden State.

Surrounded by beautiful flowers and palm trees, the path to Pacific Gardens is colorful and welcoming. Our spacious sunroom overlooks the entrance, just above the awning, and the exterior facing windows allow natural light to fill every room with its welcoming warmth. When you’re here, you’ll feel right at home.

Community Amenities and Services

Helping residents maintain their health and wellness through our thoughtful collection of activities and amenities is our top priority. Professional staff is available around the clock to offer the assistance necessary to bring residents the care and comfort they need. Our care services programs are designed to address residents' unique needs. Assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., personal care, dressing, incontinence care, and more), medication management, and escorts to and from meals or activities are just a few of the care services our trained, compassionate staff is able to provide.

We know there is no one size fits all approach to our activities, and our activity coordinators have developed five programs to accommodate the needs and interests of our residents. These programs are specifically designed to meet the varying mental and physical abilities of residents, but each are designed to fulfill wellness of the mind and body. Residents can catch a classic movie in the theater, soak up some rays in the sunroom, or catch up with friends in the great room. Our seated exercise program makes it easy for residents to keep up on their fitness in our on-site gym. We also regularly host balance classes and share stretching routines, all of which is overseen by Affirma Rehabilitation.

Living Arrangements

We offer semi-private, one bedroom and studio floor plans. All units include a spacious, ensuite bathroom with a large step-in shower and plenty of handrails for safety. Between the warm shades of beige, a healthy dose of sunshine, and views of the surrounding trees through the windows, you’ll feel right at home in Pacific Gardens.

Care Types Offered

  • Great direct care, nice facility

We chose Pacific Gardens in the beginning because of the affordability, the location, and the atmosphere of the facility. I would want others to know that it does have a beautiful garden that my mom uses every single day when the weather is good, so that has been a plus especially during COVID. Since COVID, the food quality has gone downhill. Another issue is they don't accommodate special diets at all. All of the residents complain that the food is too salty which has been a problem. They did have a massive COVID outbreak and they shut memory care down completely in May and just opened up last week. If you asked my mom, she thinks that the staff is disorganized and do not communicate with each other which has been a huge frustration. Overall, we have not had the best experience here.

  • Liked PG - [Removed] is great. Loved how they split the people into two groups depending upon their activity level. Drawback for me is distance, and their stacked pricing. Not sure.....

  • Lots of light and the staff bends over backwards for you

I almost moved here. They seemed to be very nice, the food was good, but you felt confined to the building because there were no grounds to go out and walk around or things like that. But they were very helpful and willing to bend over backwards for you. The staff seemed to interact pretty well with the other residents and my own personal interactions with them were great. Their menu consisted of pretty much the same thing you’d be able to get anywhere else. Everything looked bright and there was lots of light coming in so it didn’t look dark or dingy at all.
