Living Options and Amenities

At Pacifica, we offer a variety of options for living quarters. This includes both 1- and 2-bedroom apartment units, private or shared, accommodating individuals who prefer their personal space, as well as those who would prefer living with a roommate. We have wheelchair-accessible units for those with limited mobility, and rooms featuring roll-in, accessible showers are available. Apartments are available with windows facing any direction you prefer, as we want your surroundings to feel like home here. Residents have access to free wifi throughout the community, along with access to free cable satellite TV. Air conditioning and heat are provided as well, with temperatures regulated to optimize comfort and safety. And just a reminder, pets are welcome in apartments, too!

Dining Amenities

We provide our residents with three meals spaced throughout the day, with snacks in between. We are proud to staff a professional chef who is tasked with preparing delicious and nutritious food for our residents, and food service is available at any time, day or night. Our chef and cooking staff takes care to adjust meals to individual needs by request, such as vegetarian, low/no sodium, or kosher options, to name a few possibilities. Meals are served in our restaurant-style hall, but room service is an option for those who would prefer to dine in private. We love to accommodate your visiting guests, with meals provided for them, as well.

Common Areas

The indoor common areas at Pacifica are clean and quiet and designed with luxury and modern taste. Every detail, down to our soft lighting, has been designed to enhance comfort and invite socialization. We've created warm gathering spaces for everyone to enjoy the company of fellow residents, or to simply sit and relax. We have a TV/theatre room, game room, large dining areas, library, and even an arts and crafts room. Our library is complete with a diverse selection of titles to suit everyone's various tastes, and our TV lounge, complete with home theatre system, is perfect for catching the latest episode of your favorite show, enjoying a good movie, or watching the game with your friends.

Outdoor spaces are designed with accessibility, flow, and movement in mind. Our community grounds consist of an enclosed courtyard to provide recreation options for our residents who love to be outside, but also wish to remain safe. You'll find a patio garden, a gorgeous butterfly garden, and raised gardening beds available for use by any residents with a green thumb. Our grounds also have various walking paths that are accessible to seniors with a variety of physical capabilities. Two covered patio areas, complete with cushioned rattan furniture, are also available for anyone just wishing to relax outside and chat, read a book, or just sit and listen to the birds.

Here at Pacifica, we provide specially-curated on-site activities that stimulate both mental and physical well-being. To ensure residents enjoy a diverse cycle of events and entertainment, we employ a full-time activities director who keeps an up-to-date activity calendar for all residents. Various exercise programs as well as stretching classes are offered, to keep everyone moving. We love to organize birthday and holiday parties, BBQs, picnics, and outdoor get-togethers for our residents. Our communal space has a piano centerpiece for the musically-inclined and we often have scheduled musical performances as well. Residents may participate in community service programs as they wish, and there are many opportunities in the local area to do so. Our intergenerational programs offer many benefits for both seniors and children, emphasizing the joys of human connectivity and inspiring positivity among residents. For those who are reluctant to participate in social or recreational activities, we offer pet therapy as a positive and stimulating alternative. Many also enjoy creative pursuits, such as our art classes, designed to inspire mental well-being, or our gardening club, especially popular among residents who would like a meditative, outdoor activity. A host of convenient amenities are offered by our community to meet the various needs of our residents and provide them with an opportunity to live an independent life. Personal housekeeping and laundry services are covered, and we also offer grocery shopping services, eliminating the need for trips to the store. We are happy to provide residents with access to transportation services at a reasonable cost, and for our more independent residents, we are close to public transportation options as well. At Pacifica, we have a full-service beauty salon and barber conveniently located on-site, where residents can easily receive beauty and grooming treatments for all occasions. We also host on-site devotional services, so residents can practice or worship in the privacy of our community. For residents who would care to worship with a specific congregation, there are plenty of options in the surrounding neighborhood. Staff members who speak Spanish and Portuguese are employed by our community to bridge communication gaps where we can.

The neighborhood surrounding Pacifica has plenty to offer in the way of activity and support. There are several nifty shopping centers and lush, green parks located within our neighborhood, and just a short drive away you'll find The Vancouver Mall, along with plenty of local dining options. PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is just minutes away, and local fire, police, and EMT services are nearby and ready to respond if needed.

Medical Care Services

Our hospitable and caring staff is available to assist you or your loved one in fulfilling any time-sensitive needs that arise. Caregivers at Pacifica receive specialized training in a variety of elder care areas, and are capable of assisting with transfers, monitoring insulin levels, and administering injections when needed. Pacifica is not licensed by the state to offer medication dispensing services, however residents are supported in their self-medication efforts as much as possible and may schedule medication reminders if desired. We recruit the services of visiting care providers, as well a dentist pays regular visits to our community to check up on our residents' smiles, and podiatrists make visits to ensure everyone is comfortable, fit, and mobile. Specialized occupational therapists are also available to aid the development, improvement, and maintenance of skills needed for daily living. Hospice care is provided when needed, and our community offers respite care a short-term stay perfect for those wishing to experience a senior living trial period.

We also offer services for individuals with disorientation or lack-of-awareness issues, and ensure that residents are well-directed and supported in living a healthy lifestyle. For the safety of those with Alzheimer's or dementia, our community is equipped with WanderGuard capability to maintain everyone's security. Care Types Offered

Pacifica Senior Living is an Assisted Living facility which provides Enhanced Adult Residential Care. In the state of Washington, these terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living includes a private apartment. Some type of nursing care must be provided occasionally and help is available for medication administration and personal care.

Enhanced Adult Residential Care includes assistance for a resident who is able to take his/her own medication but needs some help (e.g. a reminder to take it or the medication handed to him/her) and personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, personal hygiene). This also includes help for a resident who can't take his/her own medication (medication administration). Residents who need to be monitored for their safety may get limited supervision. Some type of nursing care must be provided occasionally, and no more than two people will share a room.
