Parsons House is a senior living community located in Austin, Texas where we provide accommodations for residents who require assisted living or want to live independently. Our goal is to provide seniors with a living space that is both comfortable and allows them to live a full life with dignity. Our staff takes care of the hassle of everyday chores, giving you more time for the important things. Residents have access to medical services around the clock, as well. Community Services
We are a vibrant community featuring many wonderful amenities for seniors to enjoy. In addition to three, chef-prepared meals a day and restaurant-style dining, we encourage residents to engage in our on-site activities throughout our common areas. Our common areas include:

- Theater with a large selection of films
- Yoga studio and gym
- Chef chat
We provide scheduled transportation to off-site recreational areas that are of interest to residents, as well. Let us know which activities you’d like to participate in and we will do our best to accommodate.
Living Options and Amenities
Our spacious apartments feature climate control to ensure the comfort of residents. In addition, we provide housekeeping and apartment maintenance services. The following apartment floor plans are available:
- Efficiency or standard studios
- Small one-bedroom
- Large one-bedroom
Care Types Offered
Parsons House Austin is a Type A assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:
Assisted Living Facility
A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:
Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
Type C: (Adult Foster Care): 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
