The Plantation Manor is an assisted living community located in the heart of beautiful McCalla, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The town of McCalla is referred to by many as the jewel of the South. There are a number of activities that a senior can participate in when moving to this area. One of the biggest draws of the McCalla area are the local festivals and events that take place on a regular basis. There is literally a festival for every occasion, which means that a senior will be able to avoid getting bored in this area. This area has a small town feel with many of the big city amenities that people are looking for.

When most people think about the Plantation Manor, the first thing that comes to mind is commitment. Our staff take great pride in taking care of our residents. What sets us apart from other senior communities is that the team at Plantation Manor is very involved in the day to day lives of our residents. There are a number of special events that we put on for the residents, which gives them something to look forward to. Our staff is fully qualified to help residents with memory care needs, dementia and Alzheimer's.

  • Hard decision for all families - Plantation Manor makes your hard decision so smooth and comfortable

    I love this place - it's excellent. I've been very, very impressed with the facility. The director has been fantastic. You couldn't ask for a better person to work with. I've found everybody there to be very caring and considerate. The staff always let me know what's going on with my loved one, which I appreciate living out of state. My loved one is always clean and in great shape. Anyplace I've been inside, it's been clean. The people there are always happy and smiling. There are no care level increases, so the rate you move in with is the rate you pay. And they're very reasonable. It's been the best choice I've made. My only issue is I need my loved one to be closer to me, and I wish I could just pick up Plantation Manor and transplant them to the area where I need him to be!

    It is an older facility, but they do keep it clean. Our friend that was there said the meals were good, we do know they offered activities with an activity schedule and they had a good walking area. They did have planned activities for them, and movie nights. We were able to see our friends room it was modest and clean and the people were friendly. I would recommend them to anybody. The lady who is the administrator for assisted living for building A and B, promised to care for our loved and take care of him and that is exactly what they did.

    If you need a to place to put your loved one I highly recommend the care you will receive at Plantation Manor

    It is an older facility, but they do keep it clean. Our friend that was there said the meals were good, we do know they offered activities with an activity schedule and they had a good walking area. They did have planned activities for them, and movie nights. We were able to see our friends room it was modest and clean and the people were friendly. I would recommend them to anybody.     No care services are part of the retirement apartments' amenities since we live independently. However, there is always someone on site for emergencies. Right now we are self-quarentine due to COVID-19 outbreak. As related to activities, I expect things will return to normal eventually. This is an excellent, safe place to live!
