The nonprofit Sarah Daft Home in Salt Lake City, Utah, opened its doors over a hundred years ago with a mission that it carries through today: “to provide affordable quality care in a homelike setting.” Our founders envisioned a place for senior adults to have easy access to assisted living services where worries are few and friends are many. Care takes place within a gorgeous Colonial Revival building set up on a hillside overlooking the valley. As a nonprofit, we’re able to make decisions to improve the lives of the residents we see everyday, not to increase profits. Community Services and Amenities

We provide the services and amenities of the assisted living licensure in the state of Utah, seeking to meet the unique healthcare and personal needs of those in our care. Our comfortably appointed common areas create an inviting background for residents to participate in activities, exercise, socialize, or simply relax. Step outside for a breath of fresh mountain air and explore our peaceful gardens, or sit for a spell under the large covered deck. We view ourselves as part of the wider neighborhood and welcome volunteers and visitors from local schools and churches. We also take off-site excursions to explore Salt Lake City. We have three distinct floor plans: efficiency apartment with use of a common bathroom; studio with private bathroom; and one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom. All units come with upgraded cable TV, wireless internet, and personal call systems.

The Sarah Daft Home provides Type I assisted living, which in the state of Utah refers to a facility that provides social care services or services to promote independence or a sense of self-direction to residents who are capable of exiting the facility during an emergency without assistance.
