Our Community

Mariposa Point of Mesa is situated on the edge of the Phoenix metropolitan area, just outside the beautiful Tonto National Forest, an expanse of serene desert beauty. Our community grounds are a relaxing environment, welcoming friendly interaction as well as quiet solitude. Outdoors you’ll find a lovely patio garden open to all residents, accessible walking paths, an enclosed courtyard, and even a putting green. Our indoor common areas are a great place to chat with friends or just sit back and relax with a good book. We have a TV lounge to watch the game or your favorite show, a movie room, an arts and crafts center, a computer room, and a library stocked with diverse titles. The community also offers free parking to residents and their visiting guests.

Living Arrangements

You’ll find that at Mariposa Point we have a variety of living situations to best suit your needs. We offer studios, 1 and 2 bedroom spaces which can accommodate single occupants as well as a roommate or partner, and accessible options for wheelchair users. Some units are equipped with private kitchenettes so residents can prepare their own food. The community is air conditioned for comfort and safety, and residents are provided with convenient access to free WiFi and cable TV. We even allow cats and dogs in our resident quarters.

On-Site Activities

Our residents can exercise their physical and mental health with a variety of on-site activities, thoughtfully arranged by a full-time activities director. Mariposa Point offers an exercise program including tai chi, stretching classes, and chair yoga, a type of yoga performed from a seating position designed for those with physical limitations. Residents enjoy activities such as trivia, educational lectures, art classes, wine tastings, and cooking classes. Outdoor activities include a gardening club, picnics, and the ever-popular BBQ. We love to celebrate, organizing holiday and birthday parties, providing musical entertainment and hosting karaoke nights as well as a regular happy hour full of lively camaraderie.

Dining

There’s no need to worry about groceries because Mariposa Point serves meals throughout the day. Our staff includes a professional chef who prepares a wide range of fares, and can accommodate dietary requirements such as low sodium, no sugar, and more. Residents can enjoy meals in our restaurant-style dining room, but we also have private dining rooms to celebrate special occasions or entertain visitors. We even offer room service!

Personal Services

There’s no need to worry about appointments or cleaning; you can leave that to us. Housekeeping maintenance is provided by our staff, including laundry and dry cleaning services. In the meantime you can kick back and pamper yourself at our on-site beauty salon which provides hair care and treatments for all occasions. We also offer a transportation service for any needed trips into town.

Religious Services

We offer several choices of on-site religious services, so residents can have the option to practice or worship in the privacy of our community. Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and Mormon religious services are currently available. There are also a number of houses of worship located within the surrounding neighborhood.

Medical Care

One of the many benefits of assisted living is the convenience of in-house medical care and the presence of staff members to assist with any needs or emergencies. Mariposa Point provides medical services from on-site specialists as well as scheduled visits from outside health care professionals.

On-Site Medical Services

Mariposa Point has a 24-hour presence of trained staff to assist you or your loved one with any time-sensitive needs. Caregivers at our facility receive specialized, relevant training in a variety of areas – we have a medical director on staff responsible for putting together residents’ health care programs, our medication-care managers assist residents with their prescriptions, and licensed nurses are present on-site to administer any needed injections. Staff are able to monitor residents’ blood sugar levels and aid residents in administering medications. The community provides assistance with the activities of daily living (ADLs), as well as incontinence care for bladder-related and bowel-related symptoms. We provide on-site hospice services and also respite care - the option for a short-term stay - perfect for recovery from a hospital visit, the interim during a caregiver’s extended vacation, or simply as an opportunity to experience a senior living trial period.

Several on-site therapy options are also offered, such as reminiscence therapy, which stimulates sight, sound, smell, and touch faculties to encourage memory recall. We also offer sensory-based programming (like Snoezelen therapy), creating relaxing and stimulating spaces for residents coping with anxiety or agitation.

Visiting Care

Regular visits are made from a number of medical professionals - occupational therapists are available to aid residents in development, recovery, and maintenance of skills needed for daily living. We also receive visits from a dentist, optometrist, and podiatrist, to ensure residents are happy, healthy, and mobile.

Dementia Care

Mariposa Point of Mesa provides appropriate care needs to residents with disorientation or lack of awareness issues – we make sure residents are supported in living a healthy lifestyle and that no one’s needs are neglected. Our community includes a locked and secured perimeter to ensure resident safety and discourage wandering behavior, a common coping mechanism of Alzheimer’s, dementia, and similar memory issues. We employ staff members specially trained in de-escalating exit-seeking behaviors.

The Surrounding Neighborhood

Mariposa Point of Mesa is located in Mesa, Arizona, just outside the Phoenix metropolitan area. Phoenix is the largest city in Arizona but Mariposa Point is far removed from a bustling, big-city feel. The surrounding Mesa area includes plenty of shopping centers and beautiful parks for lovely day trips and outings. A short distance from Mariposa Point is the Tonto National Forest - the largest national forest in Arizona and a prime example of Southwestern desert beauty. Transportation services are provided to residents at a reasonable cost, and the area is home to a number of hotels to host residents’ guests and visitors.

  • an emphasis on mom

Like most assisted living, they have some issues with turnover and maintaining staff. The rooms sizes are very and they offer a variety of floor plans, The food is very good and they have a good variety I would recommend this community to others

  • This place is brand new and Beautiful! It is only partial full so was pretty quiet and not alot of activities going on yet. They are a bit more pricey than [removed], but if you're looking for an eye popping residence, this would be it.
