Our Community

Relax into the easy retirement lifestyle at Sonoma House, where you’ll thrive among friends, coordinated activities, and dedicated, professional staff. Nurses are available around the clock to coordinate medical care services, and skilled caregivers are available around the clock. Our caring staff is mostly tenured, and their continuity contributes to our positive environment. The design of our community cultivates a comforting atmosphere, with amenities and activities to support you in recreation and relaxation in each “small house.” Each house has an open kitchen with bar seating, inviting lounges with gas fireplaces and comfortable furnishings, a landscaped backyard with paved paths and fountains, and a salon for beauty treatments and pampering. We offer physical therapy and a variety of other programs including pet, music, and memory therapies. Monthly wellness checks ensure the health and happiness of all residents.

Living Options and Amenities

Each of our small houses offers 16 private bedrooms with the amenities you need to make it a comfortable home. Every bedroom provides generous, natural light through large windows and a spacious closet. The ensuite bathrooms come with a host of accessibility features like safety grab bars, adjustable shower heads, and emergency pull cords. Care Types Offered

Sonoma House is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Facility

A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:

Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
Type C (Adult Foster Care): 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.

  • I would do it again if I had to because we have the best house

    We chose this facility at the time because it was impressive on the first walk through, we were told many things that did not transpire. I have talked to others who have loved ones here and they have encountered the same thing. I think the marketing person tells people what they want to here. The separate house that my loved one is in is absolutely fabulous, but each houses stories are different.

  • Sonoma House

    Sonoma House has both assisted and memory care. I moved my father there and the staff were very one on one and friendly. They worked hard at making it personalized for your loved ones needs. Was happy with the environment and care.
