Living Arrangements

Our apartments are beautifully designed with style and convenience top of mind. We have shared and private bedrooms, all including plush carpet, high ceilings, and a spacious closet and storage area. Feel free to choose what is most comfortable for you. Generous natural light filters through a large window in each room. Our private rooms allow for a slightly larger seating area than the shared rooms. Additionally, some of our private rooms include an outdoor patio in our safe, secluded interior courtyard for you to step outside and catch some fresh air. Make yourself at home in one of our furnished rooms, or decorate your space with your own furniture and personal touches. Private bathrooms include accessible toilets and baths, with ramps and rails to support safe, independent use. Emergency call systems ensure that compassionate assistance is always within reach. Air conditioning and heating is provided for the safety and comfort of all our residents, and temperatures are kept at an optimal level.

Our expert caregivers provide healthcare management and monitoring with attention to the specific needs of each person. All of our residents have access to transportation services for local scheduled appointments. With our focus on the personal needs of each of our residents, we offer several distinct levels of care. Our trained and devoted staff is available throughout the day, ready to assist with daily tasks and to help manage medications. For those with limited mobility, we offer transferring services, such as help moving to a seated or standing position. Priority bed reservations at the skilled nursing facility next door and transportation to off-site doctor’s appointments may be provided as well. For added assistance and security, other services offered can include accompaniment to meals and onsite activities, incontinence care, and care supervision by a licensed nurse.

Care Types Offered

South Bay Senior Living is licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, or RCFE, which in the state of California refers to a housing arrangement chosen voluntarily by persons 60 years of age or over, or their authorized representative, where varying levels and intensities of care and supervision, protective supervision, or personal care are provided, based upon their varying needs, as determined in order to be admitted and to remain in the facility. RCFEs are also referred to as assisted living facilities and board and care facilities. Persons under 60 years of age with compatible needs may be allowed to be admitted or retained in an RCFE, if certain conditions are met.
