  • Our experience at Sunrise

    We chose Sunrise of San Mateo because the person they had at the time answered all of our questions and he walked around himself with the ipad and gave us a tour. She ended up with a corner room that was actually 2 rooms so it was more like an apartment. This community was also very close to our house so she felt more comfortable and we would have been able to visit often if the pandemic hadn't hit. They are a pet friendly community which nice. They did not offer as much as mobility as far as somebody taking her to appointments and things like that so that could have been a little better. She loved the meals that were provided here and she thought the quality was good. In the end she just wanted more privacy so she moved back home. I would definitely recommend to others who are looking.

  • I visited this one, but their memory care was not suitable for our father. We are realizing that we prefer a place that offers levels of memory care. And if the budget would permit we would like a facility with a nice outdoor area
