Services and Amenities

The home’s staff is committed to providing residents with individualized, extraordinary care through personalized services. The certified home health aides work around the clock to help ensure residents are properly cared for by providing personal care services. Such services include assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, and more.

For specialized care services, the community offers coordinated visits from registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses. Wound and respiratory care, disease management, and monthly evaluations by medical professionals are also provided as needed. Physical therapy, speech therapy, and medical social services are also available upon request. The staff does their best to help ensure residents are always in good hands!

The aides provide three nutritious, home-cooked meals along with snacks. They also regularly plan social activities such as neighborhood walks, movie nights, pedicures and manicures, Bible studies, bingo, and more. Care Types Offered

Tender Care Home for Adults is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Facility

A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:

Type A:

A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.

Type B:

A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.

Type C (Adult Foster Care):

Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
