Welcome to The Cottages at Chapel Creek! Family owned and operated since 1997, we specialize in caring for seniors coping with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our unique floor plan inspired by Mayo Clinic research allows residents to live in a smaller, more intimate setting, giving residents and staff freedom to develop a more organic personal relationship. Years of operating memory care residences have given our licensed and certified team a firm understanding of how to best care for those living with memory impairments and varying forms of dementia.
Located in the heart of Frisco, Texas, our state-of-the-art facility is situated among the rolling terrain across from Grant Park. Just 25 minutes north of Dallas, the emerging city of Frisco is anything but ordinary. History buffs should plan on visiting the Frisco Heritage Museum to learn about the area’s rich agricultural history. Between live theater and musical performances, to local painters and photographers, art lovers are sure to discover inspiration throughout the city. Spend a day exploring the area’s many unique shops and restaurants, or go on a vibrant outdoor adventure via Shawnee Trail Cycling Club or take a stroll through Harold Bacchus Community Park.
Community Amenities and Services
Our residents are cared for in a warm and compassionate environment. Highly-qualified staff offer residents personalized services around the clock, including wellness monitoring with monthly weight checks and assistance with basic housekeeping, laundry, and bathing as needed. Our amicable staff is specially trained in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Lewy Body dementia. Our memory care community is safely secured and designed specifically to accommodate memory loss, with features like our indoor and outdoor walking paths in our enclosed courtyard. Licensed nurses and medication aids also offer diabetic, incontinence, and ambulatory care and are happy to assist with medication management as needed, and we have an on-site doctor, nurse, hospice center, and several various therapists at residents’ disposal.
We treat our residents like family. In a family-style dining environment, we offer nutritious chef-prepared meals three times a day. Breakfasts are hearty, lunches are filling, and dinners are lighter to help with a restful night. Keeping in mind those living with dementia and memory disorders, we utilize smaller family-sized dining areas. Each menu is evaluated monthly by a registered dietitian. We’re also happy to accommodate meals for most any special diet, including vegetarian, sugar free, and low or no sodium.
Elegantly designed indoor and outdoor common areas make it easy on residents to connect with each other and form deeper relationships with our staff. Unwind by the central fireplace, indulge in our full beautician services in our beauty salon and barber shop, or share a glass of iced tea on our shady patio. Residents are encouraged to show off their talent by digging into our raised garden beds or playing a tune on the sleek grand piano in our spacious formal living room.
Daily activities and programs help develop routine and stimulate the minds of residents with memory impairment. Our certified Alzheimer’s-trained activity director creates activities designed specifically for those with memory impairment. Morning activities to start off the day can include devotionals, arts and cooking classes, and inspirational speakers. Mid-day activities are more interest-specific and geared toward memory recall and hand-eye coordination. These can include Wii bowling, gardening club, trivia games, karaoke, picnics, and so much more. To foster peaceful relaxation, a range of evening activities are meant to help residents wind down for the day.
