  • Active upbeat community.

    The community is very inviting and upbeat when you walk in. One of their biggest strengths is the common room. It is a great place to go even if you are not participating in the activity you feel involved. My mom had a shared room. It was rather small, but because of the common room she was rarely in her room. Food was above average. Not a lot of outdoor space, just a sidewalk around the building. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The only negative is we had to follow up constantly to make sure the doctors orders were being followed. I'm glad I was able to be there to help my mom. My mom loved bingo and they offered it everyday.

    Westbrook Manor is fine, if your family member is independent. But if they need close supervision and frequent personal attention, chose a much smaller facility.

  • Respite stay

    My mother was only here for a week's respite until she could move into another community. I think the staff did a nice job they encouraged my mom to take part in the activities and she had a nice room. I do think they need to move the smokers to a more secluded area instead of the front of the building where the smoke goes into the community and visitors have to walk through it to get into the building.
