  • Pleased with our experience

We chose The Phoenix because of the location as well as we knew some people who lived here already. They do offer shared and private rooms here. My mom is in memory care and the activities directors that they have there are wonderful. During the week the care is a 5 but sometimes on the weekends some things are overlooked and they seem to be short staffed. I have been very pleased with them and I would recommend to others looking.

  • Would not recommend this community

Before we came to Phoenix community, we were told that there would be an RN and LPN stationed at the community during the day and evenings, but that was not always true. We don't thin they have enough medical staff, or med-techs on duty. Especially on the weekends, it was always a disaster. For the CNA's it seemed like they did not have enough training. The food is not five stars like they said it was going to be, the food is about average. Our loved one has a studio which is one big room. It would be nicer if the rooms had a built in area to put a microwave and a refrigerator. The closets are pretty adequate.

  • Would not recommend this community

While my loved one was living at this community, the staff never cleaned their room. Some of the staff was friendly and others were not. It was a more expensive, and the food was horrible. The residents could only choose between two options which were not appetizing at all. The management was pretty bad. Our loved one was in memory care, which they did have some activities. We did get a chance to talk to the other residents at this community and they were not happy as well.
