We are located in the heart of historic Watertown, steps from the Charles River and an easy proximity to shopping, houses of worship, recreation and the many cultural attractions that the area offers. We serve the communities surrounding us including Belmont, Newton, Waltham and Cambridge.

The community has 90 apartments; 37 one bedroom apartments and 28 studios for independent or assisted living residents. Our Reflections Memory Care Neighborhood consists of 20 Reflections studios and 5 companion suites. Apartments in Reflections include a kitchenette (without cooktop).

Amenities abound at The Residence at Watertown Square! It is designed to promote resident interaction through research-based, resident-driven programming conveniently located right outside our apartment doors. Apartments include full kitchenettes with cooktops, granite counter tops, custom cabinetry, karndean hardwood flooring, carpeting and walk-in showers.

Our restaurant offers anytime dining from 7am-7pm. Our Bistro for lighter fare is open from 10am-1pm. There are numerous common areas including a full-service salon, wrap-around porches, a media room, library, sunroom and country kitchen.

We are excited to be collaborating with McLean Hospital, The Center for Brain/Mind Medicine and The Center for Alzheimer's Research and Treatment at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, which enables us to provide the best in purposeful programming and lifestyle interventions to promote healthy cognitive and brain aging throughout our community. It also empowers us to have our finger on the pulse of advancements in dementia treatment, new diagnostic techniques, and innovative non-pharmacological interventions and programming initiatives. As well, we will have access to their clinicians and their studies, provide the community-at-large and family members with educational opportunities, and conduct specialized employee training.

Our residents experience the peace of mind knowing that our Residential Care Associates are just a step away to provide support anytime during the day or night. Also, our Resident Care Director ensures a personalized care plan is created and monitored for each resident with the goal of keeping them strong and healthy for years to come.

For older adults with Alzheimer's disease and forms of memory loss, our Reflections Memory Care Neighborhood offers 20 spacious studio apartments and five companion suites for 30 residents. The neighborhood has its own dedicated and specially-trained Reflections Resident Care Director and Care Associates who focus on providing a purposeful and structured day in a safe and empowering environment. This results in one of the highest staff to resident ratio in the area. Also, all medication administration is performed by a licensed nurse at no additional cost to our Reflections residents.

  • Outstanding community

My mother just passed after residing in Assisted Living at The Residence. Throughout her time there, she (and I) were impressed with the experience: the facility is spotless, the food is good, and there are lots of activities enjoyed by many. Most important to us was the spirit of the place. The staff is upbeat and fun, well trained, and they work hard. They clearly enjoy the residents, and are good to them and to each other. The management cares and is accountable --- they will engage with family and work to solve problems. We were so pleased with my mother's time at The Residence.

We toured this community and it was very nice. The facility is multi-level and that just didn't fit our needs.
