Care Types Offered
The Trace Senior Community provides Level 3 adult residential care. In the state of Louisiana, these terms are defined as follows:
- Adult Residential Care
- Adult residential care refers to facilities that provide adult residential care for compensation to two or more adults. Adult residential care includes but is not limited to the following services: lodging, meals, medication administration, intermittent nursing services, assistance with personal hygiene, assistance with transfers and ambulation, assistance with dressing, housekeeping, and laundry. There are four levels of adult residential care:
Level 1 - Personal Care Homes: Provides adult residential care to two but not more than eight residents in a setting that is designed similarly to a single-family dwelling
Level 2 - Shelter Care Homes: Provides adult residential care to nine or more residents but no more than 16 in a congregate setting that does not provide independent apartments equipped with kitchenettes
Level 3 - Assisted Living Facilities: Provides adult residential care to 17 or more residents in independent apartments equipped with kitchenettes
