  • My review of The Village of River Oaks

Our family was able to do an in person tour with The Village and it was a great experience we would highly recommend this community. In the end our loved one decided to choose another community based on the location, but this community was still a great option.

  • Highly recommend!

Our families experience so far has been great, the staff members there are exceptional and very professional. They did great with the move in coordination as well as introducing our loved one to new people even during the covid pandemic. With this past winter storm and it knocking out power, we thought they responded well with adversity. They did a great job staying in constant communication with our family every day. Overall they handled the situation great.

  • A Very Good, Clean, Friendly Community

This might not be something they can control so much, but diversity is not really a strong suit here. I wish they had a little bit more of a diverse community. But the staff have been very friendly, from the receptionist desk, to the director, to the concierge/valet parking - they're all very, very friendly. I feel very good that they all have a sense of understanding of how to relate to older residents, and they're very helpful to the residents. When I go inside, I don't smell odors down the hallways, and it always seems to be clean. They empty the trash bins frequently in the common areas. It's well lit, and not dark. It's just a very clean and easy to navigate space. I feel like activities is an area they could improve upon. They don't have a broad range of activities for people with different levels of ability, especially those who are less able.
