Whittier Place Senior Living

I would not recommend this community for memory care. I don't feel the community was prepared for a memory care patient. The community did not communicate or return calls in a timely manner.

The staff is friendly and responsive. The facility is clean and is kept very neat. My Mom says the food is good in general but has had a few meals that were not to her liking. I feel comfortable with her living there. The staff frequently checks on her to make sure that she's safe. The facility was recently sold, which we were not told about when she moved in last December but things seem to be unchanged so far. I am very satisfied.

We love Whittier Place. I can't say enough good things about the community. What really sold us was that every member of the team at the community was so friendly. Even the residents are warm and welcoming. It is a clean and beautiful facility. Outdoors is well-maintained with wonderfully landscaped grounds to enjoy the outside activities. We haven't eaten there yet, but next week our whole family is going to dine with mom and then we will find out if it is as good as she says it is. They offer various activities that she enjoys. She hasn't tried all of them out yet as she is still getting acclimated to her surroundings. They offer shopping and other excursions on Tues. and Weds. We couldn't be happier with the care they are providing for her, and it's close to our family so that we get to visit her often. I would highly recommend this community to others.
