Residents who require additional assistance can benefit from the assisted living option! The highly qualified team offers 24-hour personal assistance to each resident to help ensure proper care is provided. Team members are happy to provide assistance with daily living activities, medication management, mobility, and access to on-site registered nurses. The community can also coordinate with residents’ primary care providers to provide quality treatment and care.

At Woodland by Bonaventure, they do their best to foster a family-like atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to build meaningful friendships by taking advantage of the shared spaces and exciting activities calendar. Whether it’s enjoying a meal in the dining room, strolling the walking paths, or relaxing in the courtyard, residents are urged to share these experiences with one another. Residents can also spend time in the gardens, activity center, billiards room, game room, theater, library, fitness center, salon/barbershop, and more. To help residents find and maintain hobbies, they are encouraged to participate in scheduled activities. Activities include fitness classes, arts and crafts, movie nights, off-site trips, and more! The community is always looking for new and exciting ways to engage residents, so always feel free to make suggestions!

  • Mediocre

Overall they've done very well. It's a pretty good place, but they're totally understaffed, and their follow-up would be a 2 on a scale of 1-5. They have all the things you would expect, a hairdresser, housekeeping, and the place is kept pretty darn clean. The problem is they don't have enough people to get stuff done. So maintenance is starting to fall behind.

  • It depends on the level of care your loved one needs.

For someone who doesn't need a lot of care, it's a good place to be retired. But the more care that your loved one needs, the harder it is for them to provide the necessary services. They seem to be somewhat understaffed. They mean well, but they don't have the ability to take care of all the patients who have the highest needs in the way they would like to or in the way you would like them to. The staff is stretched pretty thin. My loved one had no real complaints about the food, and they offered a lot of activities. So for people without medical needs who are fairly independent, it's a good place to be. But the more care that your loved one needs, the less able they are to provide it.

  • my review of Woodland Retirement and Assisted Living Community

The Food is the worst by far. It takes forever to get your food and it is never prepared as it should be. The activities are good and they have a wonderful activities director that knows the residents by name. With a new director in place, there are improvements.
