  • Do NOT go to the Stayton!

The only good thing I can say about The Stayton is the facility is nice. My Dad was there on the assisted living floor and then in the skilled nursing floor. He did not get the care he needed. The Stayton made promises to us they did not keep. We had to ask numerous times for them to bill my Dad's insurance and long term care. It took them months before they actually sent the statements in so we could get reimbursed. I, and my two sisters, visited Dad every day. If we had not been there he would not have had timely bathroom trips, water, or other essential care. Most of the time when we went into his room his call button was on the floor where he could not reach it. Rehab would use excuses not to take him to rehab. They kept saying he doesn't want to go and we won't make him. Convenient excuse because the facility he went to after he left the Stayton had no trouble taking him to rehab.

  • Not all it seems to be

I dont know about assiisted living but the memory care and nursing home are not up to grade for what this place charges , If you do decide to put your loved one there ,be aware and watch what goes on . It looks great but that doesn't mean it is.

  • The right level of care!

My mother recently moved here from another community and it is going very well. The place is clean and the staff is all very friendly. They are taking good care of her.
