Vistamere Retirement Residence

My mother moved into Vistamere last December. She has nothing but good things to say about the staff, and her beautiful apartment is kept clean, as is the rest of the facility. The gardens are well-tended, and the handyman is available to help with such bothers as her tv. Food is good; her only complaint is :too much meat! Too many desserts! (She’s concerned she is gaining weight.) Vistamere staff delivers meals and medications to her room each day during lockdown. Otherwise she likes the restaurant service. Laundry service is efficient. All these “extras” are included in her rent. Despite the inordinate amount of time spent in lockdown, with the coronavirus this past year, she has been able to circulate enough to make friends. And Vistamere has been very successful at keeping the residents disease-free, unlike many homes in Oakville. I do not understand the one negative review here, which I see was published twice, two years ago.

This would be my first choice for my loved ones to live in. The suites are bright and spacious. The facility is spotless clean and the core staff has worked there for many years.

I am 95 years young and have lived at Vistamere for 7 yrs. I love the food, so fresh and so much variety. But, my favorite part about living here is the atmosphere. I can have intelligent conversations with other residents and the staff made it feel like home from the day I moved in.
