Welcome to Andara, a relaxing desert retreat located in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. Located on the outskirts of the Tonto National Forest, Andara is an assisted living community geared towards residents aged 62 and above. Built in 2009, our community offers numerous perks and modern amenities assuring all your needs are met. We provide personal and medical care services as well as a host of activities and entertainment options to ensure you or your loved ones are safe and secure, and never have a dull day. Our Community

Upon arrival you'll be greeted by our friendly concierge, and will immediately notice the attention to detail taken with every aspect of our community. The outdoor grounds include a patio and garden to sit and chat with friends, as well as a relaxing hot tub and a large in-ground swimming pool to cool off in the midday sun. If you'd prefer to stay indoors and out of the heat, you'll find no shortage of options to keep you occupied. Get creative in our arts and crafts center, shoot some pool with friends in the billiards room, stop by the computer room and browse the web, or have a seat in our TV lounge and catch the game or your favorite show. We even have a community bar where residents gather, socialize, and enjoy tasty libations.

Living Arrangements

At Andara we offer numerous choices for living arrangements to suit all needs and budgets. Studio units are available, as well as 1- and 2-bedroom options for residents who would prefer to live with a roommate or partner. We also have wheelchair accessible units which include features such as roll-in showers. Some units include kitchenettes, so residents can prepare meals at home if desired. All our living spaces are equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, wi-fi, and free cable satellite TV. Residents and their guests have convenient access to free on-site parking, and if you'd like to bring a pet to your new home, you're in luck! Our private residencies allow cats and dogs.

Activities

Our community provides a multitude of opportunities for residents to stay healthy, creative, and social with frequent scheduled programs and events. We offer a healthy living program spanning cognitive, dietary, and physical health to ensure residents live their best and healthiest lives. This includes our walking club, a popular choice for those who prefer to socialize while staying active, and meditative, low-impact physical activities such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and chair yoga - a modified form of yoga practiced in a seated position geared towards individuals with limited mobility. Andara residents can participate in mentally-stimulating social activities as well - art classes, cooking classes, bible study, book clubs, and educational lectures are all especially popular. There are also plenty of opportunities to just let loose and have fun. We love to host birthday parties, picnics, and BBQs, as well as trivia and karaoke nights, happy hours, and senior proms.€

Dining

Don't worry about the groceries - Andara's staff includes a professional chef to concoct meals for residents throughout the day, including fares to accommodate specific dietary needs. Residents can enjoy their meals in the social setting of our restaurant-style dining area, private dining rooms for special occasions, or can request our room service option and dine in. Your guests are always more than welcome to join you for dinner!

Personal Services

At Andara, you won't have to concern yourself with chores because we'll have everything covered. Housekeeping, laundry, and dry cleaning are handled by our staff so you won't need to lift a finger. We can provide you with transportation arrangements if desired, but our grocery shopping service means you'll never have to take a trip to the store. In fact, you can relax at our on-site beauty salon while you wait!

Religious Services

On-site devotional services are hosted at our location, so residents can practice or worship in the privacy of our community. Catholic and Jewish religious services are available, provided by a visiting chaplain. There are also many houses of worship located within the surrounding neighborhoods.

Medical Care

Life at Andara means you'll always be safe and in good hands, with a 24-hour-a-day staff presence available to assist with any needs that may arise. We employ licensed nurses to assist with injections as needed, and trained personnel are able to aid with medication management, transferring positions, and incontinence care. Dentists, podiatrists, and occupational therapists make regular visits to our community, ensuring residents are in good health and are maintaining the skills needed for daily living. Our staff is trained to accommodate individuals with disorientation or lack of awareness issues and help them live a safe and healthy life.

Scottsdale is located just a short distance outside the Phoenix city center, and provides a convenient balance of big-city glitz and glamor and southwestern serenity. Assisted Living Center

In the state of Arizona, an Assisted Living Center refers to a health care institution other than a hospital or a nursing care institution which provides resident beds or residential units, supervisory care services, personal care service, directed care services or health-related services for persons who do not need inpatient nursing care. This can include adult foster care, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services provided on a continuing basis. This type of facility provides resident rooms or residential units to eleven or more residents.

Personal Care Services

The term Personal Care Services refers to assistance with activities of daily living that can be performed by persons w/o professional skills or professional training and includes coordination or provision of intermittent nursing services and the administration of medications and treatments by a licensed nurse.
