  • In Awe!!!

I can honestly tell you that I have been struggling with the decision to place my mom in any community but I am also happy that I was able to be guided along the way by the advisor and she took her time and didn't pressure me in my decision to take my time. Once my mom moved in, we were able to meet clinical leadership team that will be able to be proactive instead of reactive in care. The community is recently renovated and it looks BEAUTIFUL!

My review of Arden Courts of Elk Grove

  • A clean, well-run, genuinely good place

My mother has finally transitioned from Arden Courts to a Medicaid care facility. Altogether, she spent 2 years and 6 months at Arden Courts. If she didn't have to leave due to financial circumstance, we would have no reason to move her. The staff and management truly gave my mom truly first-class care the entire time she was there. And, they were kind, patient and warm toward her, me, and my entire family when we visited her. Before her stay, she was living in a garden apartment, struggling with Dementia, in denial, eating poorly, etc. etc. I had to walk through the painful process of basically taking control of her life with legal guardianship. Since moving into Arden in 2018, she looks noticeably healthier, is properly medicated (after years of suffering without), and is a lot happier. Don't be mislead: Dementia is a *damn* cruel disease. Watching your loved one erode will test you. But, at least my mom had some comfort and peace along the way -- there's not much more we could ask for. I normally avoid social media outlets like the plague. But, now with that chapter of my mom's life closed, I think it's important to speak up for folks that honestly are trying to do right. I can definitively give a strong vote of confidence for entrusting these folks with the care of my mother. It worked out well for us.
