Dining Amenities

Along with regular diets, Aspen provides modified diets which may include carb controlled, heart healthy, mechanical soft, pureed, finger foods, etc.

On-Site Activities

Activities are determined based on current resident's likes or preferences, which may include daily exercise, board games, trivia, bingo, live entertainment, pet visits, parties, ice cream socials, puzzles, movie nights, social hours, etc.

Outdoor common areas are designed with accessibility, flow, and movement in mind. Residents can enjoy our beautiful garden courtyards, patios, and gazebo.

Indoor Common Areas

Indoor common areas are quiet and a nice place to enjoy the company of fellow occupants or just to relax. Our community is secured to ensure our residents are protected.

Living Options and Amenities

Spacious private suites are available with private bath and shower. Aspen is a simple one-story design to promote independence. All rooms are Handicap acceptable.

Personal Services

We have a beautician conveniently located on-site - residents can easily receive beauty treatments for all occasions. We offer devotional services on-site, so residents can practice or worship in the privacy of our community.

Cultural background is included in the planning process. We provide both group and one-on-one connections, depending on the individual. Our objective is to maintain as much interaction as possible to enrich their quality of life.

Medical Care Services

Quality resident care is our focus, including 24/7-hour assistance with personal care such as grooming, bathing, and medication management. Emergency call systems support a safe environment, while stimulating daily activities ensure life is led to the fullest.

Aspen recognizes that Residents may be admitted with a need for additional support, or their needs may change requiring it. This support may come through a Home Care Company which provides such support services as physical or occupational therapies, speech therapy, a chaplain for spiritual support, nursing staff, social worker, or Hospice care. Aspen will work alongside each discipline to ensure clear communication for determining the needs and wishes of the Resident. The Resident Record will maintain routine communication on the changes the Resident may be experiencing. The Plan of Service will address the ongoing needs. Additional support services are not provided by Aspen but are the sole financial responsibility of the Resident. Aspen welcomes these services as they have been very successful in enhancing the quality of life for many.

We provide patient, personal care remembering to consider the Residents’ needs without imposing a strict program or schedule. For our dementia population, we believe individualized care is a must depending on each person's diagnosis and symptoms. It is our goal to meet each Resident where they are in their dementia journey. Physical, psychosocial, spiritual and emotional needs are assessed and addressed in the plan. We promote a non-drug approach to this progressive disease although recognizing their benefits to control behaviors and enhance quality of life. We use redirection, spirituality activities, personal engagement opportunities, and unconditional love when working with difficult behaviors.

At Aspen Assisted Living our mission is to provide our Residents with a homelike environment where they can experience a culture of caring relationships, meaningful services, and programs that enrich their lives.

Community Certifications

We transitioned into Assisted Living as a licensed Adult Foster Care home which can provide for up to 80 residents on our campus. Our community was last renovated in 2019.

Aspen is a family-owned community which started out in 2017 catering to the Independent Living population in the Livonia area. We have now transitioned into Assisted Living as a licensed Adult Foster Care home which can provide for up to 80 residents on our campus. Our team of support includes an Administrator who shares our mission and core beliefs, which also includes an open-door policy.
