This community was nice it just did not have the warm fuzzy feeling four our loved one that we were looking for. They were too big and we felt she would get lost in the shuffle.

  • Our Tour Experience

I had an overall good impression after my tour at Broadmoor Court, although I recognize that they all have their best foot forward on the tours. It seemed pretty much average, generally about the same as the other places that I looked at. What sold me on another place that we ended up choosing was the rapport with the salesperson, just an intangible feeling that my loved one would be well looked after.

  • The facility was clean but was showing its age. There was marked evidence of their efforts to keep up the facility, however, normal aging of the facility was apparent. The staff was friendly, however, the only one that we had any real interaction with was the Marketing Director. All of the others seem to be occupied with other activities even though we could see them from where we were waiting at to have our discussion with. I was disappointed in the open location that our interview was conducted in. It was the only location that we were not taken to an office to provide and obtain our information. You are required to use their medical staff to obtain and dispense medication. There is a doctor that they use however, you can maintain your own medical team. The facility is open access until they secure it at night, generally around 9 PM. They do not accept VA but they do accept Medicaid and you can obtain a suite while you wait for the Medicaid approval as long as you pay the full costs until the approval, estimated to be 3 to 6 months. The Medicaid suites are all on the first floor and semi-private. The private payed suites are all on the second floor and private suites are available. We were told that they maintain a full occupancy an they only infrequently have opening. They do not have studio suites.
