At Brookdale Champions, you can experience tailored care and assistance in the eclectic city of Houston, Texas. The community is located in a residential neighborhood of Champion Forest and sits on a lovely wooden campus with manicured lawns and gardens. Here, residents experience enriching memory care and assisted living services from trained caregivers, all under one roof. In addition to the scenic views, residents can find comfort in the community’s security features. Staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency. Plus, the community features additional protective measures like an emergency alert system.
Here, you have access to two memory care programs — the Clare Bridge and Solace programs. The Clare Bridge program is an exclusive brand of dementia care. It was established more than 30 years ago and provides residents with six planned activities each day to promote the use of their current skills and abilities. The Solace program provides additional support to residents in the late stages of dementia. It offers assistance with grooming, and provides a variety of opportunities to engage in sensory activities including aromatherapy and music.
To simplify residents’ days even more, the community offers a concierge, postal services, and a beauty/barber shop on-site, and the staff will handle most of your daily chores. While your housekeeping, meals, and home maintenance are managed, you can spend your free time entertaining your family members, making new friends, or simply relaxing.
Community Services and Amenities
Check out a community fitness class, join the walking club, or tag along for a shopping trip. Residents here can stay as active and as busy as they like. Practice tai chi, watch a cooking demonstration, or focus on your spirituality through the award-winning Ageless Spirit program. This program is designed to help residents adopt simple, yet powerful practices such as connectedness, gratitude, and appreciation of nature. Meanwhile, those in memory care can enjoy crafting classes, karaoke, and InTouch travel adventures. InTouch is a touch-screen computer program that employs easy-to-use picture-screen prompts to virtually show residents the world around them. Brookdale Champions also offers residents access to a chapel, a well-stocked library, and a therapy room, all conveniently located on-site.
Be sure to ask about the Personal Solutions program, too. This helpful program can save you a drive to the local store. Just submit a list of items you need, such as shampoo, paper towels, face wipes, or other hygienic necessities, and staff will deliver them to your door — privately, discreetly, and at no additional cost to you.
