The Clare Bridge program, for example, offers safe engagement areas throughout the community for residents with dementia. From gardening, to kitchen work, or even handyman help, residents can participate in a variety of familiar and purposeful tasks.

Regardless of your unique care needs, you can find comfort here in knowing that you’re safe. Staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency. Plus, the community features an alert system to offer added security. To simplify your days, the community has its own beauty/barber shop, a well-stocked library, a therapy room, and the staff will provide assistance with errands. Here, your wants and needs come first. Residents’ spiritual growth and experience are also prioritized, and Brookdale’s award-winning program,The Ageless Spirit, aims to do just that. Community Services and Amenities

Through InTouch technology, Brookdale is able to bring the outside world to you, through the use of easy-to-use picture-screen prompts. If you prefer to be out in nature, you can grab a cool beverage and soak up the sun at the community courtyard.

Be sure to ask about the Personal Solutions program, too. This helpful program can save you a drive to the local store. Just submit a list of your desired personal items, such as shampoo, toilet paper, or other necessities, and the staff will deliver them to your door at no additional cost to you.

Living Arrangements

Brookdale offers several homey apartment styles for you to select from and personalize. Each space includes a private bathroom, and some feature gorgeous views of the community garden. Your basic utilities and transportation, as well as unit and lawn maintenance are included, so you’ll have less bills and worries to juggle. Care Types Offered

Brookdale Spring Shadows provides both Type A and Type B assisted living. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Facility

A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:

Type A:

A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.

Type B:

A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.

Type C (Adult Foster Care):

Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
